Jenny is an excellent host (all the staff are but we were served by Jenny). We take our service dog Athena in and the first thing after seating us is not what would you like but "Let me grab a bowl of water for Athena". The doggie menu is unique - never seen one before so Athena had rump steak and veg.

The meals are generally quite good, but the last two times we had Steak the meat was not great. Once with the Steak night deal which we had to send back the Sirloin as it was to tough to cut or eat the staff were good and replaced the meal with a Burger which was good and last night with the Mixed grill a grisly fatty piece of Rump which I couldn’t eat the rest of the meal was good

We weren't given a specials menu or cutlery to eat our food. The wine I wanted wasn't available, and I recieved a 175mL of my second choice when I ordered a 250mL. My husband's medium steak was very much rare. Our server did not check in on us at all, she didn't care. She also didn't apologize when we mentioned the errors. The pie I ordered was very good, which is why I didn't give the experience a 1.
Brilliant value for money and the team are so friendly. They do great meal and drink deals and have struck a nice balance between a modern and traditional pub.The manager goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued. He really, really cares about the customers. Thanks to Rob and the team!
