A proper brewer's pub. Rough around the edges with a friendly atmosphere, great beers, free pool on Sundays & a decent jukebox. See you there!

A proper pub and then some as owned by Green Jack, a fantastic multi award winning brewery with an amazing range of competitively priced ales. No food other than crisp type stuff, a real drinkers pub with its basic furnishing adding to the charm and atmosphere.

Fresh cask ales in a traditional local pub. This is also the brewery tap for the Green Jack Brewery.Excellently kept ales straight from the cask with some others on draft.Bottles of Baltic Trader were also available and I was advised by a friendly local on how best to pour it, which was greatly appreciated. The staff were friendly and the pub, even when quiet was a nice place to relax. When it did start getting more busy, the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.

Taphouse, very welcoming atmosphere, quick efficient service, plenty indoor seating, some outdoor in summertime. Brewery owned!

Best pub and beer in Lowestoft. Always a good atmosphere, quieter front bar, but sometimes there is live music in there. Back bar has a pool table and jukebox. If you like real ale, this is the bar for you.

You'll struggle to fine better ale anywhere (I've been a CAMRA member for 20 years and drink in the best ale pubs in Norwich) - All Green Jack's beers are simply superb and Baltic Trader from the Firkin is sublime and very, very dangerous...

Very good ale, classic, untouched tavern on edge of Town and shopping center.May it never be changed...

It's a spit and sawdust pub, traditional with the best real ale I've ever had. Try the boltic trader or the ripper. They cycle these two beers as they make these, and others themselves. No food though. Free evening car park very close.
