Way way overcooked.Ordered their homemade smoked giant king BBQ ribs and it was so overdone it tasted like I was chewing on shoe leather and smoked wood chips. If they were trying to make jerky, then they accomplished their task because that meal was inedible, it went to my dog who seemed to enjoy it.

I have order from The smokehouse but unfortunately today food was not good. The food was soggy and the Burger had a funny taste. We have had better food from there before. The packaging of the food was terrible made the chips and burger very soggy. Stick to the cardboard packaging. I don't want to not order from there again as I do like a good burger so let's hope this was a one off.

The chequers is one of my favorite little gems in eriswell! The food comes out in good time and it is always hot and delicious! My new favourite menu item is the pulled pork nachos! ? The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I've never had to wait to place a food or drink order. My food has never come out "wrong". The beer is cold and they have a good selection on tap! (BLUE MOON!) My mixed drinks are always spot on and never too strong or not strong enough. I really couldn't be more pleased with my experiences there, and can't wait to go back for more!

New to the area, we stopped in and were excited to see BBQ, just what we’ve been craving since we moved here from the States. Our meals were delicious! Meat was cooked perfectly and all the sides were tasty. Cozy little spot with good food. We will definitely be back!

We ordered from just eat, I noticed they had nachos and figured I'd skip over. I haven't found a place here that does nachos properly yet... until now. They sent actual nacho cheese. The chips were separate so they weren't soggy upon arrival, and all of it was still warm. We also tried the loaded fries with cheese and bacon and it was downright delicious. For a main I got the Tennessee chicken sandwich and the chicken was fried to perfection, nice and moist, but a slight crunch outside. I will certainly order again, and likely dine in for more options. We will try the mac n cheese next time.

came on the weekend. The brisket was amazing everything was clearly fresh and made to order I know this as I changed the order for my liking and they nailed it! Even the sweet potato fries were homemade, I have been thinking about it ever since.

Popped in for lunch the other day and me and my partner both had an amazing meal, the chips in particular were to die for! The lady who served us was lovely and helpful, and the interior and exterior has a warm and friendly vibe. Definitely will be back! ?

Super value & great quality food. Had chicken that was perfectly cooked & full of flavour.To my surprise the Merlot was fine enough to drink without food.I often find the wine can be bitterly acidic.The service was so personal too.A great place to eat.

They really need to invest in some industrial fly killers, so many flies put us off our meal. The starters and the steaks were good, but the chicken and ribs were virtually inedible, chicken very dry and ribs extremely fatty. I was still eating my starter, when the main courses arrived. Small discount given for a inedible main course. Wouldn't go back..!!

It’s local so really wanted to support this business. No atmosphere in the conservatory where we were seated, no blinds up the window just old wooden tables with uncomfortable old chairs. We ordered the Smokehouse platter consisting of King Ribs, unfortunately no BBQ sauce, very tough and full of fat. Not that tasty either to be fair. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. We weren’t offered any cutlery either so had to take it from other tables. Service was quite slow. Chips were extremely salty, so salty we couldn’t eat them. Oh well we’ve been and will not return. Front of building really needs to be more inviting and the rear of the building needs tidying up as looks like a building site, not sure that’s what dinners want to see on first experience.

The food was fantastic and people were great. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their bbq. Their home made fries are brilliant. And the hot dog was bloody delicious! If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to give it a go. Glad I found this on google randomly.

We love seeing the place evolve. We have been coming here since they reopened. They went through some growing pains but have really started to do it really well. The brisket was so tender I could cut it with a fork. Staff is always friendly and the chef checked to see how our meal was which is nice to see a personal touch like that. Overall recommend and will be coming back.
