Beware of hidden costs as wanted grated cheese on top of chilli carne and slices of onions on salad. When the bill came I questioned it why was it more than usual, he said extra £3 for cheese and onions also £2.50 for a can of Fanta which was absurd so won’t be visiting there

Totally surprised and hard to believe the other reviews as we regretted going to this café. When we arrive nobody acknowledged us, we sat down waited sometime for our order to be taken, Ordering an omelette meal off the menu they even got that wrong and forgot a few items off their own Listed items in the meal. To plates were adult plates that arrived and my plate was a kiddies plate And had to ask for a larger plate and they came and gave me a second small plate. We asked for water which never arrived. My colleague requested for tomorrow catch up the waitress came and gave us a bottle and waited to take it back and said they were running short.I asked If they had bought the business recently as the Service was awful and was told they have been there for 10 years If that was the case the ship would run like clockwork. This place reminded me of a 70s comedy sitcom Something like ‘Faulty Towers’

Popped in today for a drink as it was cold outside.Hubby decided to have ham eggs and chips. Ham all chopped up. Not the best presentation.I only wanted a piece of toast. 1 slice of toast, not even thick bread and a spoonful of marmalade in a pot £2. Not great value. First and last time in there.Parking: Tight car park, very few disabled slots

We decided to wander around Newmarket, pop to the pub and to choose the BLD Restaurant and Café in The Rookery Centre for late lunch.Tables were spotlessly clean, and done so between different customers, service was friendly, polite and swift and the food/drinks really very nice indeed.Filled baguette, scrambled eggs on toast, Club Sandwich & chips, tea and coffees followed by wedges of gorgeous cake and cheesecake with more drinks. The menu caters for varied tastes and appetites and is defo great value for money... we'll be going back without a doubt. Thanks to all the staff at this deservedly popular café.Kid-friendliness: All are welcome!Wheelchair accessibility: Shopping centre floor level through the customer doorway.
