Turkoman Bar and Grill

We are local and have eaten here twice now, once inside and the second time via take out. Both times the food has been absolutely fantastic, great value for money as the portions are very generous and the complimentary bread and dips are also delicious. The staff that work here were very helpful when we ate in, being very patient with our questions as well as double checking and preventing me from ordering the wrong thing which was very much appreciated. Looking forward to returning again in the new future.

The Kala Sheep Indian Takeaway in Newmarket

It was my first experience at The Kala Sheep and utterly loved it, the atmosphere and the service was just wonderful, I cant wait to visit again and taste the amazing food.

Mangiare Ristorante Italiano

Popped in for lunch after an event at the jockey club conference centre.

Great food, great value and great service. Just be aware, the £15 2 course lunch menu might make you think they are lunch portions, they aren't so plan for a light dinner :)

Rose And Mango

We visited Rose and Mango last night with family and were greeted by warm and friendly staff. It is always busy and the food is unique with a depth of flavor and quality not seen in other restaurants. We will definitely be visiting again x.

Nancy's Tea Shop

What a lovely find! Located just off the high street, Nancy's is a cute tea shop with excellent quality food. We had baked potatoes, pots of tea (there are LOADS to choose from) and we just couldn't leave without a slice of some delicious-looking cake. It was homemade and tasted wonderful. I highly recommend the Battenburg which the owner proudly said he makes on the premises. Friendly service too. We'll be back for sure x

Montaz Contemporary Indian Dining

Visited for Valentine’s Day. The ambiance was lovely and the waiters were attentive and friendly. Now, the food… it was exceptional. Absolutely stunning quality flavours and textures. Not oily or greasy in any way. It’s been a while since we visited, but after this experience we will definitely be back very soon.

Great service and Great food. Very busy Mothers day Sunday yet the team didn't disappoint. Excellent portion size. Considering food is made to order they didn't do too bad on timings either.

The Graze Kitchen Ltd

Highly recommended the Graze Kitchen. Coffee is always hot, whereas in some coffee shops it's practically lukewarm. They do the best rocky road I've ever had too! Friendly staff, always happy & welcoming xx

Ormonde Table Table

Excellent food, tasty, well presented, fair price. Server was friendly and helpful, a little untidy in the way she was dressed, but acceptable enough. The interior was quite salubrious to say the least, untidy, not in particularly good repair. That said, the tables were all wiped clean, so hats off to the staff. A bit of a redecorate would achieve a higher star rating.

Unico Pizzeria Ristorante

Love this place. I never expected to find a restaurant like this in little old Newmarket. It feels classy. The food is good and competitively priced. The waitress for food on both occasions I visited wasn't bad. The staff are lovely. I definitely recommend it. Its also not too far from car parks in the town.

Munsons Brewery @ The Chequers

recently visited this spot and honestly, From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming . It’s the kind of place you can settle into, whether you’re there for a quick bite or a proper sit down meal.
The food itself was the real highlight. Everything came out fresh, well-presented, and clearly made with care. You can tell there’s attention to detail in every dish, from the seasoning to the portion sizes.
Service was smooth and friendly without being over the top. Staff were attentive, quick to help, and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable.
Highly recommend trying the home brews
The whole restaurant ended up all becoming one and everyone was having a conversation together. Very rare you can do that these days and it was lovely.

Only wish was they did a roast! Hehe.

Pizza Express

We were served by a lady called Kate. She was super attentive, amazingly friendly and told us about a deal which saved us a whole meal. She made our experience top class. Thank you so much the pizzas were amazing as usual.

The Old Scotch Indian

BEST in Newmarket!! Recently tried The Old Scotch after a recommendation- had them a few times now and I wont be ordering from anyone else! The food is incredible! Not bland like I have found other places, the best naan breads and onion bhajis by a mile!! Sometimes it is a long wait- but ALWAYS delivered in timescale!! And definitely worth the wait!! So get orders in early if you are impatient! Very reasonably priced! Polite, friendly service & delivery! Highly recommend!! :)

White Hart

We had a really nice time here the other day it was my friends birthday and we hadn’t booked but the staff were so helpful, the food was good and the service was great. Chris was lovely and super friendly, we’ll definitely be back!

Khobkhun Thai Restaurant

Amazing little restaurant, food great. 9 of us went for a 50th birthday, very welcoming & friendly, we weren't rushed at all. We took our own cake which they brought out for us at the end of the meal & even sang happy birthday which made it even more special!

Nelore Brazilian Steak House

If you like meat, this is the place for you. Grab a plate, head to the buffet for salad, olives, and sauces and the sit back and enjoy the incredible table service who bring an assortment of freshly prepared options right to you, cutting it off the bone, sizzling hot and onto your plate. The environment is social, it can get slightly loud but that is part of the experience.

All of the staff are fantastic, polite and courteous and the seared pin apple at the end of the night was the icing on the cake.

I will likely head hear again. It's a 20 minute drive from Cambridge and we'll worth it.

Came here with the family and had a great time. Food was great and service was brilliant. Friendly and lovely staff, being very accommodating and being patient with me even though I was messing them around!

Great atmosphere. Owners go the extra mile to make you feel welcome with seasonal events. Food is good quality too. Also do a good Sunday roast. Sports usually on with a few TVs.

Honestly can’t fault the guys at calzone. Always such a positive atmosphere when you go in there with really friendly staff and amazing food always. Really fast delivery service as well. Would highly recommend!

Rumbles Fish Bar New Market

Great place with consistently tasty food.

My favourite Lahmacun with donner is always fresh and cooked properly. Crispy and fresh red cabbage does the job and I really enjoy their chips (garlic sauce goes well with them).

Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.The staff is always friendly and polite when I visit.

Also, it’s always clean, so a food hygiene is well maintained. Definitely worth popping in there.

Try not to get misled by reading those 1-2 star moaners - the chances are they’re just love to make meaningless noise on the internet.

Sunlight Chinese Thai & Fish & Chips

You absolutely must try:

Singapore Rice Noodles / Chow Mein
Salt and pepper chicken (you can ask for extra spicy)
Satay Chicken Skewers.

It is unrivalled, i can promise you that. after trying many up and down the UK as an Area Manager, these dishes are by far the best from here.

If you don't come here for the food, then its for the lovely lady who pours her heart and soul into a great service, sometimes throwing in her handmade complimentary gifts as well.

U.S.A. Fried Chicken & Burgers

Well after reading the reviews I never went in for ages. Today I really fancied chicken and spicy potatoes. The person that served me was very polite. The food came quickly and was very tasty. Will definitely be buying again.

Sea Horse Fish N Grill

As it's a takeaway and home delivery service, eat in is not that classy. Although food standard, quality and service is excellent. You don't have to wait long before you are served.

My elderly aunt stayed here over Christmas. The staff were amazing and went over and above to make sure her stay was perfect. She didn't like to go to the restaurant for her evening meal as she struggles to swallow, so they heated up soup especially for her. The room was large and had everything that was needed. A big shout out for the Newmarket premiere inn.

Street Cafe

The service was second to none, very attentive. The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. The place was clean, neat and tidy. To top it all, it was good VFM. We highly recommend.

Thai Street Cafe

My mum loves this place and wanted to go for her 70th, it was my 1st visit and I was impressed. The staff were really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The food was very good. I had the chicken pad thai for main, and it was so nice, one of the best I've had. We shared a starter for 4, a nice selection and really tasty. I tried the beef massaging that my mum had and that was full of flavour and the beef really tender. Great place and will definitely go again.

Rumbles fish Bar

I'm biased but cmon it's my local chippy, energy costs are up, oil costs more, staff costs more, I just think it's really tough so please support them.
Friendly and chatty, really good fresh chip shop chips and nice extras, they also do a mean line in kebabs.

This is my ultimate favourite costa , despite there being ongoing problems with the toilets & not been able to dine in , Tracey the manager is amazing and very apologetic towards people who have issues , this is not the staffs problems but being a loyal customer I’ll endeavour to continue to use this store , sort it out costa this store deserves the best

Lol...did not even go here this time Google....was in Costa Coffee opposite....so you aint that good eh??
But on the flip side....sometimes a Double Whopper with cheese does hit the spot....

White Horse Exning

Love the White Horse! Fantastic family run pub serving delicious homemade food. Very dog and kid friendly. Stopped by for lunch today on our way from London to Norfolk and I'm absolutely gutted we don't live nearer. We had such a warm welcome from Lucy and Alex - really lovely people. Lucy was especially helpful, and patient taking our orders. The food is exactly what I wish we could get in our locals, feels like it's made with love! We all felt very comfortable and relaxed here which is a rarity these days! Thanks for having us ?

Valley Way Fish Shop

Consistently good quality fish and chips. Always telephone ahead with my order and service is swift and efficient on arrival for collection. The best fish and chips around!

I love this coffee shop! Their coffee is delicious, and the banana bread and sausage rolls are my go-to orders. The atmosphere is always friendly and super welcoming.

The Pantry Fine Foods

I work in Newmarket so never eaten dinner there before was there with the mrs on Friday night and chose the pantry at random! The food was amazing! Could do with a bit of a tart up but was really bloody good.

The Yard Pub

Used to come here a lot a long time ago. It's been spruced up a bit since then but used to always be able to get a pint at midday, was shocked to see it didn't open until 3pm. That's the way of the world these days.Still a good pub.

Studland House x BOBA

I normally have a beef chow mein from Bottisham but I thought I'll try Studland House today. Friendly staff, nice clean new looking restaurant too. It was the best i've ever tasted! Far cheaper / great value. Will be back for more!

The Prince of Wales

My fiancé and I came in for their roast that they were advertising for only £10! We couldn't believe how much we got for that price and my god was it literally the best we ever had! The pub itself was gorgeous and the staff so incredibly lovely! Highly recommend!

The White Swan

Nice village pub. Generous portions! We had a Sunday roast and the Vegetarian option must be ordered in advance(just call in). Dogs allowed and dessert was delicious.

Attitude of male member of staff needs adjusting, no clearing of used starter plates before main came out.

Berties Restaurant

I took a party of 14 people there after a tour of Newmarket. The staff were charming and well-organised. They welcomed us in, had set a long table for use, and were very good at managing the bill items for couples and singles in the group. The food was excellent and good value and there was a nice, up-market atmosphere. We all relaxed and enjoyed a tasty lunch and good company. We pre-ordered from the main menu but there was a carvery operating on the day of our visit too. The decor is above average for this type of venue; well-furnished and with a race horse theme as you would expect. The toilets were quite luxurious - people commented on that!

Newmarket Kebab House

Lamb doner wrap was delicious and incredibly generous portion basically a burrito and veggies were fresh. Chicken strips were seasoned nicely but chips were a bit anemic. Also garlic bread with cheese was bit bland. Overall great quality but better chips and garlic bread for the 5 stars. Will try pizza next time. Will be back guys cheers

Great Local Chinese – Tasty Food and Lovely People

Tried this place honestly, it was really good. You can tell they care about what they’re cooking.

I had egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, fries, and curry sauce. Everything was tasty and full of flavour. The rice was light and not greasy at all. The chicken balls were crispy, not soggy, and the sweet and sour sauce was spot on—nice and tangy without being too sweet.

Surprisingly, the fries were great too—crispy and perfect for dipping in the curry sauce, which had a nice kick without being too spicy.

The portions were okay and it all felt homemade in the best way. Definitely a place I’ll go back to. If you’re looking for a solid Chinese takeaway with a friendly vibe, this is the one.

Omg amazing roast dinner . That good I’m going to be booking again as everything was so perfectly cooked . You could taste the delicious flavour on the parsnips .

Unique Bar Newmarket

Had an amazing night at Arctic Bar Nightclub in Newmarket! The atmosphere was brilliant, great music, friendly staff and such a good vibe all night. The slush puppies were honestly amazing — definitely one of the highlights and something different from your usual night out.
A special mention to Lloyd behind the bar as well — he was amazing all night when serving drinks, really polite, friendly and welcoming. You can tell he genuinely cares about customer service and made the whole experience even better. Drinks were spot on, the venue was clean and well organised, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend for a great night out in Newmarket!
