Wholesome food, tasty and well presented. Clean, fresh environment (decor, tables, floor and chairs). Engaging staff and customers!

We visited for breakfast as it had varying options to choose from. The cooked breakfast was excellent with great ingredients, cooked well. The pancakes were home made, light and fluffy served with berries. Double shot flat white coffee was also excellent. We enjoyed this in their small courtyard, but the interior of the restaurant also looked lovely.

[email protected] is a good breakfast cafe. Foods great and my latte was exceptional but everything was soo over priced even with the quality of the ingredients in to consideration. When we were seated we were told that they had ran out of white bread but the description of the wholemeal they had was more or less described as a dream come true. We then had a look at the prices and were debating whether we wanted to stay but we stuck to our guns. I ordered the salmon with poached eggs (pictured) because I'd been on cooked breakfasts all week and fancied something a little healthier. I new I'd be hungry without the extra mushrooms but that came to around £17. My partner had pancakes (pictured). Total bill came to £33. On top of the extortionate pricing they make it very easy to leave a tip at the end when you pay via card. It almost felt somewhat embarrassing to not because I personally love to support small local businesses but when they must already be making around 5-600% profit per menu dish and your waiting half an hour for something to arrive that should only take 10 minutes I find this pretty dis-tasteful. Communication and organization with the orders and the young lad that appeared to be doing prep seemed to be a bit disjointed. Lovely place and I can see why it's highly rated but far too over priced to come back.

Delicious food, lovely staff and a bubbly atmosphere. Lots of options - the cakes looked delicious and the food that was coming out the kitchen looked amazing. The bread was so fresh (the best quality bread I've had in a long time) and the sandwich was flavourful and good portion. Lovely seating area and a courtyard out the back to sit also.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options both sweet and savoury. From French toast to jacket potatoes and salads. Cakes, scones and puddings. All look and sounded delicious.Kid-friendliness: Nice place to sit for a while and relax, staff are helpful and it's very nice to look ot the window and enjoy the food.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options and bread so you can swap and change how you would like.

The best mocha I've ever been served! Lovely bright café, highly recommend the French toast with berries and mascapone. Would've loved normal pancakes though- GF made for a difficult texture to pick up

Lovely family run cafe right in the middle of Southwold. We had an amazing breakfast with great coffee, the beans were to due for. It is popular with both locals and visitors . Thoroughly recommended.

Extremely rude, unprofessional staff, who need training in basic customer service. Food average but very overpriced, we had a sandwich, small breakfast and slice of toast, 2 coffees came to £46! They 'forgot' two things we ordered but still charged us for them. Outrageous! Place was untidy and menus are a piece of ripped dirty paper. Much better places to eat than this. Girl on till SO rude face like thunder, just shoved the card machine in my face, didn't even give us a bill or tell us how much or thank us for paying £46, NEVER again and would NOT RECOMMEND would give zero stars if we could

Our first visit and it won't be the last. The food was wonderful. The price fair, intact very reasonable. The service was good chatty lady which was nice. Very clean also nice. The menu was good and had lots of choice. Thanks for a lovely lunch.Vegetarian options: Lots of them and well explained.

Food was delicious, all cooked fresh and it was very tasty. I didn’t give it 5 stars as the table wasn’t clean, the seats were uncomfortable and we had a long wait for food, but it was worth the wait. A real find.

Stumbled across this little cafe. We were a little hesitant as the menu was a little quirky for a small cafe, which is cool. I chose the Shakshouka, which I'd never heard of, or had tried before, so in for a penny, I bloody loved it! And all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended ?

Popped in for lunch February half term. Quiet when we arrived but soon filled up. Dogs allowed. We ordered sausage roll /toasties and salad and soup with Gluten free bread. Amazing! Lots of fresh salad, and the toasty was super crispy and yummy! The bowl of soup could not have been fuller either.

It’s a favourite haunt of a friend of mine who visits Southwold several times a year - we always go there so have done the gamut of Lunch tea, supper! Can’t fault it - delicious food cooked on premises, mostly cooked to order, good coffee and great service from lovely people. They also have a curry night and other specials.
