Booked into one of the Beach Huts as a treat for my wife’s birthday. Wonderfully romantic (although having a dimmer on the lights would have be even better!). Each cabin is also heated and there were rugs. Despite having a closed door on the cabin the service was excellent, as was the food.

Lovely experience at this very small and intimate restaurant. Can understand why it is hard to book a table. We were lucky and got a call back after a cancellation. Much appreciated them calling us. Great atmosphere, attentive service, great food at great value. Plus some very unusual spirits.

Friendly and attentive staff. We had Sunday lunch, which was good and decent value for money. Good range of beers. Dogs are welcome but only out back in their dining pods.

Had breakfast there then managed to get a reservation for dinner in the evening. At breakfast my husband could get gluten-free toast and my english breakfast muffin was good too. Dinner was excellent, we both enjoyed our meals, grear selection on the menu all in all a good evening for us.

Coasters was wonderful from start to finish. Kate, Connie & Vicky were attentive, customer focused & friendly. Food & drinks were wonderful. We were made a fuss of as it was our wedding anniversary. Such a nice experience. We would not hesitate to re-book. Thank you Kate, Connie, Vicky & team x

Always a treat to go to Coasters. I am also delighted to have a glass of Adnams Explorer with my meal.

Booking is essential in summer. Nice little restaurant, with a number of beach huts in wharf used to be a courtyardMenu is mainly seafood. Starters of pate, whitebait, and a prawn cocktail . Mains seabass fillet, fish and chips (large fish!), and salmon sandwiches ( you get two a portion - generous)The food is great, friendly staff service a little slow, but in fairness they were busy with most of the tables sitting down almost together.Dietary restrictions: Catered for gluten-free, no problem, as was an allergy to black pepper.

I was here for dinner with family, having failed to get a reservation at some of the other well-known eateries in Southwold. Luckily, this place had space and it turned out to be a very lucky find. It is a small, family run establishment. The ambience is very relaxed and informal, but the service is very friendly and efficient, yet slick and unobtrusive. The evening menu is quite comprehensive, with seafood featuring very prominently on the menu, as you might expect for a seaside town. It comprises of 9 starters, which range from £7.95 to £9.50 and 10 mains ranging between £16.50 and £26.95 (see picture). We all ordered different dishes, all of which were cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and of excellent quality. These included a rather original smoked chicken, Parma ham and sunblushed tomato roulade with pesto and creme fraiche. Other starters were salt & pepper squid and prawn & crayfish cocktail - all excellent (see pictures). The mains were even more impressive: smoked haddock, potato, leek and smoked cheddar gratin; dressed Cromer crab with chilli aioli, samphire salad and chips, and braised Blythburgh pork belly with black pudding and garlic crushed new potatoes. My own fillet of sea bass with cherry tomatoes, olives, samphire, coriander, marinated potatoes and pesto was exceptionally good (see pictures). With food this good, not sampling the desserts was simply not an option. The trio of strawberries (pannacotta, ice cream and fresh strawberries) and Baileys creme brulee with flapjack were superb. Even the cheeseboard was highly enjoyable, consisting entirely of British cheeses (see pictures). With the total bill for four coming in at under £170, including drinks, it was refreshing to see that no 'discretionary' service charge was added on - which is a subject of some contention for me as my numerous reviews on this platform will no doubt testify. Yet, this is one occasion that I felt the service charge was fully justified, and well deserved. A memorable evening in a pleasant atmosphere with good food and seamless service. I can't wait to return on my next visit to Southwold. A resounding thumbs up. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic meal of local produce, beautifully presented in a quirky ‘beach hut’. The wine list was broad with helpful explanations and the service was great, efficient and friendly.

Super food and really nice about swapping vegetables for others. Also happy for me just to have ice cream for dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. A lovely meal. Thank you x
