Arriving on holiday we were very lucky to notice the Pitstop cafe sign on York road . We had driven round and round looking for a parking space so we could get some lunch after a long journey. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. As mum does not have a huge appetite. We decided on a toastie to share and a bowl of chips . The lady was very helpful and gave us an extra plate no problem. The toastie was good but the salad was delicious. Freshly prepared and a huge variety from radish to grapes . Thank you very much for our delicious lunchKid-friendliness: There was everything a child would love to play on or with in a safe space

Was recommended by a friend, kids had a great time playing on the bikes and tennis courts. Staff are friendly and helpful, all round a lovely afternoon will definitely be recommending to others and returning next time we are in the area.

Stumbled across the café while on holiday but clearly a hit with the locals too. Fabulous little ‘hidden gem’ by the tennis courts near the golf club.

Quite a unique place these days, old toys and bikes for children to play with, good food, lots of tables and seating inside and out. Even has some tennis courts with equipment you can hire for just a few quid. Feels like an old cricket club house. Enjoyed it.

Excellent game of tennis and stopped for a cold drink

This is Southwold’s best kept secret! Locals know about it but many visitors don’t. I’ve been coming here for years and there’s always parking and seats and they can cater to large groups or a solo visitor like me. Kids can play on the tennis courts, there’s toys and a Wendy house for kids, and space to run around safely. It really is a very special place. The food is good value and portions are large and there’s never any rush to move on so I can sit and read and chill out after a long dog walk. Staff are friendly and even set up the hose for me to wash my dog today! Food is not all fried breakfasts - I usually have the ‘everything salad’. This is a real find if you are on holiday with family and/or dogs in Southwold. It’s round the back of the golf course by the water tower.

A little haven away from the busy High Street, great food, very reasonable prices. Good cafetiere of real coffee. Excellent veggie breakfast. Lovely place for families and dog walkers.

A hidden gem! Not the smartest place but an absolute delight. The all day breakfast was delicious and the coffee was very good. Excellent value for money, friendly service and if you have children then there are lots of things for them to do. Tennis courts if you fancy a quick game! Will definitely return!!Kid-friendliness: Lots of things for children to do.
