The Stag has got to be one of 'newest', 'oldest' pubs in Stowmarket.\\nThe premises has been there for a few hundred years. I remember it as a butchers in the 70's but it became a pub in the same decade, hence oldest/newest.\\nAlways popular, always topical.\\nPublic car park nearby.\\nTown centre 2 mins walk.\\nJohn Peel Centre 2 mins walk.\\nTrain station 5 mins walk.\\nPool table, music, TV and wheelchair accessible.\\nOak beams and low ceilings so mind your head.\\nStaff are attentive, fun and there is a great selection of drinks.
