This place is that good, i just drove past and shouted I love you at it. Its the only place I'll go for Turkish and ive inky evwr had takeaway from here. I used to live in London and the food is better then anything I've had in the capital. The food is always exceptionally cooked and the service couldn't possibly be better when picking it up. Their adana kofte is better then I've tired in Turkey and is a must try. I can't recommend this place enough.Edit: So after moving away we finally found the time to come back and enjoy the experience properly. We were simply blown away. We had 3 starters and 3 mains between the 2 of us and everything was faultless. Served in a beautiful 16th century building by fantastically attentive waiting staff. It was simply one of the best dining experiences I've ever had and my partner even said it was her best restaurant trip anywhere( she's pretty well travelled). The only way I can now describe alaz is simply a can't miss experience

Wow. Loved it. Went a second time, some time after my first visit. The food was just as fabulous and delicious. Very impressed. Everything was well presented and tasty, with good portions and tailored for the numbers, all for a reasonable cost. Staff were polite and well timed. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, with nice lighting and good spacing between tables. It's an old building so watch the steps. Everywhere was clean, including the toilets. There's a reasonable sized parking area around the back and covered seating (with heaters) out the front. It's all one could ask for. Definitely going back again for a special occasion.

Valentines disaster.Left after only having our starter.We had been there for 2 hours.Service was poor and no apology given.It was a set menu to so how it was all so slow was beyond me.We paid £40 deposit which i didnt asked to be returned.

Went for dinner for a birthday meal. We were seated in the bar after booking a table in the main restaurant. On little tables which were lower than our knees. When requesting a deserved discount we were yelled at by the owner and threatened.

An outrageously Fantastic restaurant, service, food, atmosphere, and value for money are all exceptional. We recently experienced a 5 course, set meal with a wine expert explaining suitable wines, was a sublime evening and delivered by all in such a professional way, we can’t wait for the next one.. Alaz is a Sudbury Gem and highly recommended by us!! Sue and her team are exemplary, well done, We shall be back ?
