Popped in Friday for the first time, Nice friendly pub, along with nice service . Had the burger and was very oily along with the chips. The wife had the chicken and was also cold. Shame really .

This is a fantastic little find. It's a feeling of a country pub meets town pub. We visited to see a band City Sounds and stayed for a few hours. Tge carpark is plentiful for quite a few cars and the location is convenient for driving or walking from Sudbury or Great Cornard.We walked through the smoking area then through the beer garden outside seating area and we're pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. Perfect fir a sunny evening.Once inside it wasn't that 'slaughtered lamb' feel you can get walking into a new pub but we're warmly greeted by the staff.The drinks were reasonable priced if a tad on the dearer side but not savage.The pub regulars were a nice friendly bunch and everyone had a great night dancing and singing along with the band.Highly recommended and a well deserved solid 5 stars.
