Sunday roast in a cosy, traditional Suffolk pub? Look no further! Perfectly cooked roast beef with all the trimmings, best I’ve had in a long, long time. Cauliflower cheese included in the roast was delicious. Hudson the Labrador pup is a gorgeous boy with the most beautiful temperament. A very good boy! We will absolutely be returning ???? Thank you!

Fabulous food, very friendly staff and beautiful old country pub. Looking forward to hearing back in a few weeks.

Lovely pub which seems to be locally supported. Great atmosphere and nice to see it so busy in mid January. Could do with more staff at busy times. Pub grub done well and proper chips! Portion sizes generous which meant we didn't get to try the puddings but maybe next time.

Our group of twenty friends enjoyed a fabulous Christmas meal at the Bells on 8th December. We had a long table that was decorated superbly. Everybody's meal was fabulous - could not fault it in any way. The staff were friendly and could not do enough to make our evening the great success that it was.

Visited with my wife and stepmum on Saturday 2nd Dec. The food was out of this world and such a lovely warm inviting atmosphere. I have never tasted food like it.

Had a wonderful homemade beef and ale pie, beautiful creamy mash and great veg. We were kept company by Hudson the black lab/retriever who welcomed us as we came in from the rainy storm outside. Such a cozy place, plenty if room. When the fires are on I can imagine it's harder to leave. Very friendly staff considering I hadn't booked. Plenty on the menu to encourage me back, and didn't break the bank either.

This pub is outstanding. It has fantastic kerb appeal but just everything about it is fantastic. A very friendly landlady, very warm welcome, great drinks selection and amazing food cooked to order and a beautiful garden. I have nothing else to say other than please try it and I promise you won't be disappointed. Oh and it is great value too. Thank you - we will definitely be back.

Ancient pub in an historic building at the centre of a quiet village. The Sunday lunch we had was excellent - my trad beef, the SO's nut roast and our companion's fish & chips were all top notch. Everything on my plate - which included a delicious onion marmalade - was first class.A small menu of well judged dishes which changes, we were told, monthly.A very good range of beer on tap and you could see, from the number of locals dropping in for a pint, that the pub is well used by the community.Added to my list of nearby pubs to drop along to.Vegetarian options: Very good carrot and nut roast. Excellent fish & chips

Nice country pub. Really nice inside with a friendly, yet nervous, young dog. Nice big beer garden with plenty of parking.

Lovely old pub, with old school locals at the bar and families have Sunday rostsThe food is lovely with just enough food on the plate, with it not being too much or too little,The only thing I will say what I got be negative about, is that I did not see what came with the rosts, and the here was way to much red cabbage. But other than that it was a lovely meal with lovely paintings on the wall, and friendly staff, inside a lovely old building what is from the 1400sSo decently give this place a go

Are you ever open? Blimey. I’ve been 6 times in the last fortnight and you’ve been closed. I’m not going to bother again. What a shame an imbecile is running a pub that I used to enjoy.
