I had the most incredible experience at The Fish Dish in Felixstowe for lunch today! The grilled sea bream I ordered was an absolute delight; it was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. What truly made this dining experience exceptional was the impeccable service provided by our wonderful waitress, Jasmine. She went above and beyond to ensure that our table of 18 had a memorable time. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly demeanor made the meal even more enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, the staff at The Fish Dish made us feel welcome and comfortable. The ambiance was charming, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal was remarkable. Our dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the chef's skill in preparing the sea bream was truly commendable. The portions were generous, and we left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content. The menu offered a variety of options for all tastes, and I was delighted with my choice of the grilled sea bream.I must also mention the efficiency of the service, especially considering the size of our group. Our orders were taken promptly, and our food was served in a timely manner, without any hiccups. The Fish Dish has certainly set a high standard when it comes to seafood dining in Felixstowe. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, I wholeheartedly recommend The Fish Dish.Thank you to the entire staff, and especially to Jasmine, for making our lunch so fantastic. You truly made our day special, and we couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

If you know what great quality ingredients taste like when they're perfectly cooked, you'll love this.

The menu is quite small: 3 starters: 3 main courses and two puddings. So when you are told some of the courses are "finished" the remaining menu is very small. The food was OK, not brilliant. The table service was not particularly professional: no bread offered, when told food was off the menu the communication was simply "X isn't left". No apology. And for a restaurant which has a freezer full of fish dishes for sale it is a shame that an alternative wasn't offered in place of the dishes that were no longer available as stated on the menu. The drinks menu states that orange juice, pineapple juice and apple juice are available. Separately it states there is a variety of J2O drinks. When apple juice was requested, told only J20 drinks available. No juices of any kind available - so why does the menu contain them ? The person serving was souless and robotic. Just no softness or empathy of any kind. Physically there are about 10 tables in a small but pleasant setting. And no overpowering music being pumped out ensuring a good conversational atmosphere. For Sudbury it is slightly upmarket of some other town centre rivals. We paid £85 for food for two people with one beer and one bottle of water from a reduced menu with table service from a human who probably never smiles.

Collected a Shellfish Platter for two late morning last Friday, for consumption the following evening. Presentation was excellent, content included a good variation of seafood and - the most important part - it was delicious, washed down with some Champagne (not included!). Fairly priced and highly recommended if you're looking for a special meal.

Fabulous, small local restaurant. The menu is amazing despite being short, which allows chef to focus on the quality of each.Oyster bar also available for those who partake.Dietary restrictions: Gf and df available which can be ordered in advance,

My third visit to this small charming restaurant. I believe that the owner is also the chef. The menu is small, but the quality and presentation is excellent and very good value. What let's the Fishdish down is that the service tends to be a bit unpolished and slow, which is a shame. Oh and its only open Friday and Saturday evenings, otherwise I would eat there at least once a week! Maybe could do with a vegetarian option. Otherwise I would give it a 6 star rating

Small intimate restaurant in Sudbury, nicely refurbished from the original clothes shop. Small menu of starters and main course, but food is freshly prepared and cooked, nicely presented, and full of flavours. I had the soft shell crab to starting the trout fillet to follow, my wife had brown shrimps, and Emperor prawn to follow, dessert was creme brûlée. Good complimentary wine list to choose from. Highly recommended.

Wow! If you like fish(or shellfish) you need to go there, I am a meat eater but could be turned if all fish restaurants were as good as this one! Also the popcorn ice cream was amazing! GO?
