Love it here, food lovely and served hot.The food hall can be a little bit very tasty. Cheese section is lovely. Car park always very busy. Great trampoline bubble for the children to play.

I took my mum and sister to have afternoon tea as a mother's day treat Saturday afternoon. What a let down! The restaurant and veiw were superb. The staff (two in particular) were very pushy and I would go as far as to say rude. They got our dietary requirements wrong even though we had just told them. When we corrected the male member of staff he waved a hand and said "oh well its been made now".Whilst we were sat chatting and mid-way through eating our food a female member of staff came and started to remove certain plates/layers from our tea stands without a word said whilst doing so. It was the most rudest and bizarre situation I have experienced in a restaurant! Especially as others diners had finished their food and were sitting with empty stands. All in all the food was nice enough but service awful. My advice to The Suffolk Food Hall would be if you are closing at 5.00pm but want all customers out by 4.30 (the impression we were given), do not book a table to arrive at 3.30 and give us 30 mins to eat.

Great breakfast, nice clean place with a fantastic view, staff very pleasant and polite, large place so a little chilly but I'm sure it must be horrendous cost to heat the place so I do understand. Definitely go there you will not be disappointed. ?Vegetarian options: Mum is a veggie and was well happy with her options, staff asked if there were any other dietary needs which was good to hear being offered.Kid-friendliness: Very good helpful Staff

Comfortable seats and a table looking out over the Orwell. Prompt service, and a birthday price reduction. Small menu meant a busy resaurant could give good service.

We visited yesterday nice food at a reasonable price lovely atmosphere and decor with stunning views. We had 2 x roast beef and 2 x nut roasts with 3 x banana pudding and ice cream we each had a drink Total cost £99.50. The staff were friendly and the food timings were spot on we shall definitely be going back.

We thought we would revisit the restaurant after its refurb. Our previous experiences had been underwhelming, but we wanted to give the place another chance. It did not go well and we won't be returning. The place looks lovely post refurb and nothing can ever beat the views across the river and of the bridge. That is where the praise has to stop, sadly. The food was dreadful. We had burgers, and fish and chips. The burgers were supposed to come with "smoked cheese, barbecue sauce and crispy onions". The cheese was definitely not smoked cheese, the amount of sauce was minimal and there were no crispy onions. The burger was bland. The brioche bun was over-toasted (ie: burnt). The shoestring fries were just about cooked. The fish and chips: cold chips, certainly not triple cooked as advertised, lack of seasoning. There was a chef at the pass, plus someone expediting, but there seemed to be no quality control.Having requested the bill twice, after twenty minutes one of our group approached a member of the bar staff to collect it personally (she was beyond helpful and apologetic for the poor service). However, the wait was spent watching staff avoiding clearing up a smashed glass. The manager clearly had very little authority over the servers (who promptly disappeared to the other end of the restaurant), and the presence of a table of families with young children seemed to do nothing to add to the sense of urgency. Delivering afternoon teas seemed to be more important.Such a shame as we so wanted to make this a regular visit. Would be better to head next door to the shop, pick up a picnic and enjoy the views al fresco.

Went for the quiz night with my work colleagues. The quiz was good. Food options were Chicken caesar salad, chickpea and spinach curry and hot dog and chips with dessert options of Eton Mess, Gin and tonic cheesecake and chocolate Brownie. I didn't really enjoy my choice as it was a little bland, and the Brownie was very dry. But the chickpea and spinach curry was absolutely delicious. I think we would all go again but we all agreed it would be nice for a little more variety to choose from.
