Swan at Holbrook
The St, Holbrook, IpswichDon't do food. But do do lovely ales, well kept and a choice of lesser known Cider. We popped in on our countryside hike b4 setting off on the journey back to Ipswich . Were made to feel welcome and had a good chat amongst ourselves, the staff and regulars.

Kings Head Stutton
Manningtree Rd, Stutton, IpswichNot Bad! But Not Good either!
We have eaten here on Remembrance Sunday for the last 3 years and there was always a good reason to come back, quality of food, value for money and service level have always been great. Not sure but I think they may of changed owners?? We were a party of 7 and only 6 main courses arrived, waited 10 minutes for the missing meal and then had to eat whilst everyone else had finished and watched me! We were not the only table to suffer the same issue, a young chap on an opposite table waited longer for an incorrectly ordered burger! His family had all finished and were almost on desert by the time his meal arrived. I appreciate mistakes are made and explained I would be happy with a complimentary dessert, I was told there would be no need as the missing meal had already been taken off the bill! I insisted they put it back on and that a free dessert would suffice! I was assured the meal had already been taken off so I thanked the gentleman and moved on! I did receive an extra slice of jam rolly poly with my sticky toffee pudding but I assumed this was an added goodwill gesture! To my disappointment when my father in law paid the bill there was no reduction of the meal or a complimentary dessert! I have given 3 stars because the food was nicely cooked apart from the beef which was overcooked, tough and served cold! Whatever happened to two nice slices of freshly sliced sirloin on your Sunday roast! Especially when you are paying almost £20 for it!

The Boot
The Freston Boot pub, IpswichHonestly, some of the best Sunday lunch anywhere - the Beef Rib was *outrageously* good. Desserts absolutely on point too.
Welcoming staff, dog-friendly pub - service a little on the slow side, but Sunday lunchtime, so understandable.
Absolutely first-class stuff - big thanks to the team at The Boot for making us so welcome.

Cook House restaurant
Suffolk Food Hall, IpswichBeautiful food with fantastic food. Not the kind of place the average person could afford to eat at on a regular basis - our bill for 1 adult with 2 kids was £47 - however, if you're in the area at the food market then definitely visit for this stunning place to eat.
The only letdown were my 'home made beans ' tasted overly burned, like they had caught on the bottom of the pan and then scraped through the pot. They were inedible.
Would definitely return to try more of the menu.
