What a nice place to stumble upon in the heart of Woodbridge. If you want a drink, snack, light-bite or bigger meal this is the place to visit. Our order was taken and drinks served swiftly then, In appropriate time for fresh cooked, our food arrived. Well cooked, tasty and of good portion size... highly recommended.A special mention too to Heather, our smiley and customer-focused server.. Thank you, we'll see you again.

The food itself was decent and the one member of staff did their best; however, the cafe was extremely short staffed, especially considering it was lunchtime service. As a result, we waited nearly 40 minutes for a baguette and two toasted sandwiches. There definitely needs to be more than one person serving to reduce waiting times to a suitable length.

At the top of Woodbridge High street the historic Mrs Pipers offers a good menu of regular fare from breakfasts, sandwiches, hot meals and daily specials which all look good and appetising. Good value and service with a smile completes the package. Worth the walk up the street ??

Went to the restaurant a bit later than I intended to: waited ages for the food to arrive and at one stage I had to say to the waitress to cancel the food as I was running out of time. She informed me it was virtually ready so I stayed to eat - faster eating than normal!! The pie (lamb and mint) was nice, the mashed potato was good and lots of vegetables. I didn't have time to really do it justice but what I did eat I enjoyed. Strange place though with the toilet out the back - a bit run down looking too.
There was such a lack of concentration where the staff were concerned. I ordered Cappuccino with no chocolate and I got chocolate. My husband ordered a pot of tea and got a mug. He was given a knife and fork for his soup. My Cheese burger was half cooked and had some kind of margarine spread on the roll, I couldn't eat it. My husbands soup was plain served with a slice of supermarket bread with margarine on and just not value for money as the soup was £7.35. I did complain , they said sorry but did nothing about it.

Unpretentious Old-Style Cafe that provides good service and lots of choice. A nice welcome from friendly staff. We had cups of nice strong tea and tasty cakes. There was also a very wide choice of meals available, all at reasonable prices.

15 minutes after ordering our two cups of tea arrived. 15 minutes later we asked why we still hadn't had our sandwiches and were told that they were very busy and we would have them in 5 minutes. At this point another customer piped up that he had been waiting even longer! After 40 minutes our sandwiches appeared, but the first one had to be sent back to be toasted, as ordered. Now we weren't in a hurry, but that sort of delay is not acceptable. The staff were doing there best, and it was busy, but if only they had explained from the outset that there would be a delay we could have made a judgement one way or another. The food was ok in the end.
