I was recommended to visit here by one of my friends that said ’ it’s such a nice place and the food is amazing!’. Well I can confirm that both of them statements are 100% true. It was our 7th anniversary and wanted to christen our memories with something special so I booked a table for two at 7. The atmosphere from outside sounded like we was in a scene from a romantic film and then we went inside and felt that great pub atmosphere and feeling something about tonight. The staff were all so polite, warm and welcoming and we was treated so well. The menu has just enough to give a selection without being too busy making it hard to choose something. My fiancée had the burger (which looked amazing) and I had the sirloin steak (blue - of course) and was absolutely in heaven with the huge serving of peppercorn sauce that came in a jug which was well enough for the big chunky lovely chips and the huge steak. The steak was so nicely caramelised on the outside with charred bits it was just absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. We felt full so decided not to have afters but managed to accidentally order two white chocolate cheesecakes completely by accident and we had to eat them as they had brought them over after ordering them completely by accident by mistake without meaning to (yeh roight) which were bloody gorgeous. In short the pub is a nice setting and we were comfortable the whole time (2 1/2 hours) the staff were all working hard but made it look easy and the food is to be tried without a doubt.Absolutely 10/10 and thank you for such a lovely evening we had just the best time.Parking: If you’re lucky enough to find a space in the station opposite The Anchor - it’s free after a certain time - but read the signs first!!!Also it’s a ‘RingGo’ car park so get the app it’s so simple to use.

Great food and service. Loved the curry chicken wings, and the fish and chips. ?? But Neck Oil is £7.20 a pint??!! Wha????

A group of us met for a midweek supper and between us enjoyed cooked-as-specified minute steaks, a delicious risotto and a very hearty and incrediy tasty chicken pie. Perfect food for a soggy autumn evening. The pub was busy with cheerful grpups and while lively, it was not difficult to hear others on our table. The young waitstaff were charming: friendly, professional and interested in opinions of a wine new to the menu. We shared a small pudding as the large portions of food meant we sadly didn't have space to try the intriguing flavours of sorbet - that'll be a good reason to return before too long!Parking: Parking available over the road in the car park close to the station and Riverside.

We had a really lovely meal and the staff were extremely helpful in ensuring that my friend was aware of the meals which she could have as she is a Celiac. The risotto was extremely taste and can recommend the Orange and Pistachio sponge!

A lovely evening to start our holiday for myself, partner and dog. The staff were professional and attentive ensuring that we had everything we needed. I ordered the peach and Binham blue cheese starter, which was absolutely delicious followed by sea bass which was also very tasty. A good range of beers was on offer. The atmosphere in the pub was great... probably down to the lovely staff! In fact, we had such a lovely time that my dog tried to get back in this morning!

Monday, sunny, topped the day off with a bite and a drink. Very welcoming friendly staff. Two young blokes working when I arrived setting the standards for proper, local, hospitality. Cheers

We had really good meals - well-presented too - and very friendly service at The Anchor. The beer was good too! Also, very fair prices by today's standards. We were very well satisfied: hope to return soon.

A really nice pub restaurant with a great atmosphere and good beer choices. The food was high end pub grub with some nice choices and sweets. The prices are reasonable for Woodbridge. The position is right near all the attractions in Woodbridge and near the river front. Recommended for an evening meal at a reasonable cost.

Had a fantastic meal here whilst staying across the toad at the Station Guest House. Very busy, we couldn’t get in on our first night, so booked for the following night. Portions are large, in hindsight we didn’t need the starters as well, but prices reasonable.
