Extremely bang average. Slightly overpriced. Servers don't check back to tables . Paid £18 for the lamb and was given 2 very small pieces of lamb (literally had 2 mouthfuls of meat) and a couple carrots with cabbage and an aunt Bessie's Yorkie. Definitely not worth the price. Wanted to order another beer or two but my efforts to ask for one were ignored. Cauliflower cheese was brought to the table also but barely enough to go round so most people on the table only had one florette

Menu limited but was Wednesday evening. I had steak which was OK but only came with chips and a mushroom, asked for a tomato but didn't have any, expensive for £25.

Attractive venue with friendly service. Excellent food served from a varied menu with additional specials board. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Beautifully decorated, cosy, relaxing and comfortable.Service is brilliant, very friendly and attentive staff. The food is very well presented, tasty. Great choice and generous portions, but not garishly soNothing worse than paying extortionate prices and leaving feeling hungry which is the case in so many places these days. Can recommend the venison pie and soups! This pub will definitely become a regular treat for us!

Very warm welcome from entering, customer service was outstanding (Amy to be precise was exceptional at her job and so helpful and friendly) The wine was great, and the food no words can explain how tasty the food was, me and my partner are big foodies and appreciate local cuisine and this was up there as one of the best restaurants if not the best in Suffolk so far. A last thanks again to Amy going out of her way to make a mulled wine even though they didn't sell it she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Beautiful place, we highly recommend it and we'll definitely be visiting again soon?

The food was excellent, and the service was spot on, not rushed, and kept your drinks topped up..

It's a shame that this one time "proper" pub has become more like a restaurant with tables booked in both the restaurant and main bar areas. So if you just want a couple of drinks then you may well be standing.Staff are very friendly though.

Great pub and restaurant is done out lovely. Great food (my prawn starter sauce was gorgeous but the prawns not much to write home about which is why 4 stars for food) but my husbands dhal starter , wild boar sausages main and my burger amazing. The service was the best we've experienced in a very long time!! Highly recommend and can't wait to come back for a Sunday roast...

I ate here Saturday with my father, my son and my rescue dog Bess. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, making sure we were all comfortable- Bess even got treats and a blanket! ❤️ The kitchen also catered for myself and my son, who are vegans, and offered us several amazing choices. The strudel was delicious and my son loved the crumble - thank you all...gorgeous pub, gorgeous people ?Dietary restrictions: Several vegan options

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Dog. Pleasant atmosphere, good food and very attentive service. We will definitely visit again. We also ambled up to The Deli (also owned by The Dog) & stocked up on some tasty goodies, definitely recommend the Salmon Paté!Vegetarian options: I thoroughly enjoyed the goats cheese parcel.Parking: Parking is behind the pub

Over priced Sunday meal. 2 slices of beef, half a roasted parsnip, 2 halves of a roasted carrot, a tablespoon of sauted red cabbage which was gorgeous. 3 roasted potatoes an over cooked Yorkshire pudding and 2 florets of cauliflower in a cheese sauce. For £17 per meal i found this not value for money.
