Edit 11/23. Been back here numerous times and have to say never not been a happy customer. Staff are always friendly and prompt. Food has now a good selection of tasty home made pub food, not too fancy but good quality. The Nachos are great, REAL cheese!! Love a good Nacho!####Lovely pub, good food although not a massive selection, what they do make is very nice. Good beers as wellVegetarian options: A few vegi options to select from.Parking: The main car park does get full, but the spaces are a good size and there is .ore parking around the back I believe.

Lunchtime visit with family. Not too busy which is fine. Friendly and attentive staff helped make our meal very pleasant indeed. All the chosen dishes were of great quality and very tasty.

Went on Sunday, the pub was extremly busy but the staff where very friendly and helpful. I had not been able to book as full up so got a table outside. Told there was a long wait for food but it arrived much quicker than expected and was delicious. First time eating there. I will definitely go again. Well done the Fox.

Absoloutey stunning country pub, we where on holiday in essex and found this lovely pub an hours drive and well we wasn't disappointed x We had the beef Wellington and not one bad comment, was so tasty could of eaten it again and again, my 6 year old son had your burger and marked it 10/10 was delicious, friendly atmosphere, and very friendly staff. We also loved the fact of how busy you was just goes to show what an amazing pub you have xx

Lovely hanging baskets on arrival give the immediate impression of a caring and quality establishment. Great staff. Tasty well presented food. Excellent beer.

This pub obviously does not need the business! I went to the pub in person to try and book a table for fourteen people on a Sunday lunchtime at 1pm. I was told they do not take bookings for more than eight on a Sunday as they have had problems in the past for large tables. As a very reluctant compromise I was offered 12 noon but we would have to be out of the pub before Joe Public turned up! I assume if they had two bookings of eight on a table that would have been fine ???
Warm welcoming staff! Lizzie, Julz, Sarah and Jerry were perfect as always. Love bringing my daughter here for meal as the food is on point.

This place gets busy, so book to avoid disappointment. We were quickly seated and the drinks arrived soon after ordering. Good choice of beers including low alcohol. We opted for starters and mains, although the deserts looked good being ferried out to the extensive outside eating area. Overall the serviceman top notch, this I believe is because there was an abundance of waiters/waitresses (seldom the case in many establishments these days).Parking: Gets very busy, even with extra parking space opposite.

We all chose roast dinners - all reheated and not that hot. We couldn’t cut the very hard roast potatoes - 3 of us lost them off their plates! One of us even lost a piece of cauliflower - hard and no flavour! The yorkshires were very burnt and rubbery. Such a shame, wasn’t that busy either. No one came and cleared our plates or asked if everything was ok. Cutlery was dirty - unfortunately no excuse for that!
