Long time since we last enjoyed a fab Sunday lunch here. David Grimwood served all guests and provided a great explanation of the delicious and locally sourced dishes available. Great mix of old and young guests, mostly well behaved. Be prepared to queue a short while to select your main plates. Sweet menu served to your table equally tasty and plentiful.

Had a lovely meal out with family and relatives. We all enjoyed our roast dinners! ? Great choice of cuttings and trimmings with our roast main. Definitely, book again. Thank you, for providing great service and a great atmosphere. Nice to be served by the chef too! ?‍?

The Froize is an excellent restaurant. Fantastic food, great service and atmosphere. David uses local fresh ingredients and his lifetime of experience to create wholesome, tasty fresh food which tastes wonderful. His personality shines through the service. I would heartily recommend the Froize to everyone.

If you want to enjoy a hearty, tasty meal with your family, we think that this is the best venue for dining in rural Suffolk. We will often book at the Froize for a special occasion and the host, David, always makes us feel really welcome. This place is a real gem with locally produced food and beer which we think is absolutely perfect for a Sunday dinner with the family. A++++

We visited on a Sunday in a heatwave, but it was lovely and cool in the restaurant. The choice of food is vast and of the highest quality. David is passionate about his food and loves to feed his customers, many of whom are obviously regulars. The portions are generous and all delicious, beautiful cooked and served.

Having been here for a friend's 70th birthday, this was a return visit to celebrate her and her husband's Golden Wedding. We thought this was a fantastic place on our last visit, and nothing has changed. There was an amazing choice of dishes, of which you could sample more than one, and a help yourself selection of side dishes. Everything was delicious, served by the proprietor, David. What a place!

Best lunch in the area, fantastic food , hearty portions, cooked perfectly, not a processed product in sight hard to find these days, staff friendly, helpful and polite. Love this place .

Emailed to book a table as 2 sittings on a Sunday….12pm and 2pm. David was friendly and helpful. Arrived just before 12 and everyone was gathering in the doorway whilst getting drinks and finding out which table they were seated at. Once drinks were sorted and table found, the buffet is opened and it’s a bit of a weird way of serving to be honest! David is the only one serving so it’s a slow process albeit friendly and welcoming. I don’t understand why tables are not called up to the buffet in the order they arrived so you don’t have to queue like your in a canteen, and standing in doorways so not ideal for those trying to get past. A good selection of dishes for meat eaters, such venison pie, rabbit casserole, ginuea fowl…as well as the usual beef and pork which was good quality, be prepared as the price is £25 for the main course and desserts are extra. If you can eat quite a lot, you will likely feel like it’s worth it and you can only go up once so some people pile their plate.

Ok, so I'm a vegan (I just couldn't wait to tell you all) and when my lovely mother-in-law said she wanted us to have lunch here, I though nah. She called ahead of time to let them know grass and sticks would be required (and I love her for that, so caring) but I wasn't expecting anything fancy, maybe a veg burger or a falafel. I was so pleased when I arrived and the lovely chef had two delicious, lovely dishes just for me. He knew he wasn't going to sell them to anyone but me that day, but he still went to the trouble of making them. And they were amazing. Thank you so much! What a great place. 10 stars!!!

Visited on a holiday whim for the Sunday carvery, great service from Annie and Claire who immediately made use feel at home. Wonderful food by the head chef David who is clearly very passionate and skilled. Hearty portions, no chance of leaving hungry. If only we lived closer!
