This was our second visit ..we had steak with Bernese sauce with a selection of vegetables &chunky chips &it was delicious and with a glass of the best red wine I’ve ever tasted ..I’ll definitely go back again..the chef is so friendly &the service is amazing lovely atmosphere with some lovely chilled music in the background..what more could you want ..so thank you to all at the galley x

Can’t really fault this place. Run and owned by a terrifically friendly Turkish gentleman who has a genuine passion for food. All of the food was hand made with love care and attention to detail and the spices we delicious. Don’t overlook this brilliant restaurant.

A friend and I decided to try the Lobster Thursday. Everything was delicious from the glass of cava (not usually high on my list of sparkling wine), the shared meze (my friend is of Armenian heritage and cooks this food a lot. She loved it) and then main. When we abandoned forks to tear our lobsters apart, we were provided with warm water finger bowls. We topped off the meal with one of the best baklava I have tasted accompanied by real Turkish coffee. The owner, augury, and his daughter were amazing and amusing hosts. After the meal we were given a tour of the cellar and the upstairs with all its wonderful art. Highly recommend! I live over 40 minutes away but will be going back.

Great quality ingredients cooked beautifully and served in a relaxed and professional manner. Presentation of the food was stunning and the staff were attentive without being a nuisance. A difficult balance to strike but they got it right. We had an occasion to celebrate and The Galley came fully up to standard.
Average is an understatement. Prices over London. £38 for house wine? I had seabass fillet (£25) I had bones. My sister had the 'fabulous' stew which was served in a cazuela for£24. 4 choices on the menu for mains. Service was dreadful even though there were loads of staff. Birthday cake for Mum was a joke. Sorry, I could have made a better meal where we were staying. You are obviously popular with the silver surfers who can pay ridiculous prices for rubbish food. We went for breakfast in the pub next door which was fantastic. At least we left Woodbridge on a high.

An absolutely fantastic meal and experience for me and my wife. The lobster with the Samphire sauce was excellently cooked and kudos to the waitress for suggesting the sauce, it tasted amazing. My wife had the lamb stew and said it was very tasty also.Sitting in the 'middle' floor we got to listen in on the kitchen and it sounds expertly runIt was a special occasion so treated ourselves to going here and it did not disappoint. I would definitely return. The 3 courses and drinks came out at about £55 but given I had lobster I knew it wasn't going to be 'cheap' before going.Kudos to all the staff there.
