At last this pub has come alive again after a rough period. Food only on Sundays. Public bar usually very busy particularly if rugby on the television. Lounge bar quieter and reasonably spacious. Very steep uneven steps from the street so take care. There is a more gentle rear entrance accessed via the offstreet aingle parking space. Some on street parking very close by.

The best pub in Woodbridge. The staff are friendly and professional, they have a great range of well kept beers that can be enjoyed in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere of one of the oldest pubs in

A proper drinkers pub. Worth a visit just to see the very old architecture. Fine range of ales. Beer garden at rear.

An absolute gem of a traditional Suffolk Pub . Friendly, full of genuine character and offers a proper classic Sunday Roast with all the trimmings to complement a great pint of real ale , delicious food & well priced.

Invited out to sample the new Sunday lunch menu, have to say we enjoyed lunch very much, we all had the Roast and have to say it was the best Sunday Roast we had had for a while. Atmosphere only rated 3 because of the lack of people, but would recommend.

Great Sunday lunch, very accommodating and friendly staff. Decent atmosphere and good beers. Nice that it’s not pretentious. Doggy friendly.

Came to the pub with a group of friends to have some drinks and a catch up. One of the bar staff was incredibly sour and refused to answer simple yes or no questions about what drinks they had to offer as it “wasn’t our turn”. Whilst waiting patiently to be served, the same bartender rudely barged past us to get back to the bar, calling my friend “stupid” for standing where she was, after she politely moved aside to let him past. The owner of the pub was no better! As they were closing, he went around the premises aggressively telling people to f*** off out of the pub. The lack of courtesy and manners from the workers is truly distasteful and unacceptable. It’s such a shame as the pub itself has such a great atmosphere. Don’t bother coming it you were thinking of doing do.

Lovely friendly pub, Matt, the friendliest bar man ever, really welcomed us. A lovely cheerful chap, that made us stay for far too many drinks.. an asset to any business… sure to go on to great things.. made us stay longer than intended!

A real pub. Blazing log fire, friendly welcome and excellent Real ales. The revamped toilets must be the best in Town.
