It's a nice looking cafe, and clean, but unfortunately the food was below par for our experience. The pancakes ordered for the kids were thick and doughy, and caked in icing sugar. The 'maple syrup' given with them was thick and stringy like golden syrup. It's the first time the kids have not eaten pancakes when out.The vegetable burger was tasteless and bitter, and none of us could eat it.One of the garlic bread slices was mostly burnt, but covered up on presentation. There was something wrong with the salt in the dispenser. It was weak or had no flavour. One thing that was great was the salad and dressings, and the quiche and salad plate.Maybe we were unlucky on the choices that we made, but am guessing there is a reason that no one came to ask us if everything was ok despite standing right next to us. Nothing was mentioned when clearing plates, which were clearly untouched. After we paid our bill, a gentleman begins the til asked if we wanted to take our burger home, and was the first to ask if anything was wrong when I declined. He gave me some lollipops for the kids and a treat for my kid to make up for the burger.

Great coffee shop. Frequent customer, food is amazing. Chef is excellent and the owner/ staff are great. I come here 3/4 times a week and would recommend the Dani Lambo, Chef Special, Lasagne or the Pasta Ala, Great place.

Very busy cafe, bit a real gem. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Really good sized portions too. All the meals that came out of the kitchen looked worth a try! Staff were extremely pleasant and had old words for everyone despite being rushed off their feet.

The waitress who served me was extremely rude and not welcoming at all. It was very obvious she had an issue with me and my daughters stroller. She was very flippant when I asked her very politely where I should sit. I then requested for a VEGETARIAN or a VEGAN HOT BREAKFAST and she brought up my religion and said she cannot accommodate. I asked her to clarify why she has a vegetarian meal advertised with ‘V’ if she’s cooking the food with meat and then she brought up my religion again. It was the most rudest remark I’ve ever received in hospitality and will not return although the food I’d ordered for my daughter was to a high standard delicious, the service was so poor and unacceptable, I’ll never return. Absolutely offended! Please do not advertise vegetarian meals if you do not want to accommodate for your customers specific dietary requirement and please don’t talk about people’s religion as it’s rude. Has nothing to do with food.

So disappointed. Ordered children’s meal previously which came with 4 fish fingers, chips and beans. My daughter just wanted the fish fingers. So 4 wasn’t enough that day. When we visited again on a different day I decided to order two kids meals and then give the extra fish fingers to my daughter and I then I could perhaps nibble on her unwanted chips. Came with my two daughters & a friend who also ordered a panini & drink etc. I was rudely told that because I’m an adult I wasn’t allowed to order a kids meal. I explained why I did this and she said ‘you want some extra fish fingers then?’ I said yes please. When we went to pay my part of the bill it came to 22 pounds, for two kids meals and a cappuccino. Ridiculous I thought!!!!! So expensive!! have now realised that they charged me for three kids meals, but didn’t give me the extra meal ‘because I’m an adult’. So basically they gave us three extra fish fingers and charged us £5.75 for the privilege. Absolutely disgusting. Also the table service is extremely slow. Will not be returning!!!!! Daylight robbery.

Absolutely delicious breakfast - I had a set 5. Lots of choice if you want to make your own breakfast. Clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. We’ll be back soon.

This really has a lovely decor and a vibrant buzz and the food was nice but average for the price our poached eggs were over cooked and my avacardo sliced was more grey than green. I think the main disappointment for me was the abrupt rude service and the communication between customers and the waiting staff. My friend is gluten free and even though the head waitress said they do cater for gluten free this was not true. You can't have anything like bacon mushrooms etc if it's cooked on the grill so the only option was a panini or a cheese omlette. The waiting staff don't speak basic English so when they came to take our order and us asking questions about the food was like walking into world war 3. It literally was a task in itself. If we asked the waiting staff questions we were just given one word wait and a point. The main female taking orders was very rude when we asked her for the bill. As they offer table service we were unaware we had to queue to pay the bill. When we asked her for the bill she replied in a very rude loud tone off voice " you have to wait there, there's other customers". Well that explanation didn't really answer my question but on dissecting her reply we assumed we had to queue to pay. Over all in regards to feed back they need to employ staff who are proficient to some degree in English to ensure that the customer experience is pleasant and easy. We found it an overall struggle to communicate and looking around the service so did the majority of customers. Would we go back . No. Chai next door is much nicer, better customer service, friendly staff, really go out of their way to accommodate you and the food is on another level.

It's one of my favourite places. Breakfast, brunch, lunch... whatever. Highly recommended ? ??

We sat outside as it was a nice sunny day and was rather pleasant despite the main road being 20ft away.Bacon and sausage baguette was really nice, served in a very soft baguette which makes a change from the hard crusty ones you sometimes have at a cafe. The fried egg baguette was also very good. The Americano coffee was lovely too and in a right sized cup for a change, as usually they're served in smaller cups elsewhere. The best bit was my wife's lovely strawberry milkshake which was so nice she had another one!Other reviewers have mentioned service and cutlery but we asked and we got, so no complaints.

Great place for breakfast, so much choice; very friendly people and good food overall. Great coffee. One of a number of breakfast spots on the High street for quantity a “big breakfast” probably the best. Even better if a big more focus of quality and presentation over quantity of food.
