6 High St, BansteadLovely little cafe, especially perfect if you'vd just done Banstead Woods Parkrun or just had a walk in the local woods.
I got a delish latte and a huge sausage bap for just over £7.00, so great value for money.
Free parking outside.

45 High St, BansteadAte here for (adult) family gathering on a weeknight, and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was lovely - well-cooked, tasty and well-presented without being pretentious. We had sharing platters followed by mains of veal, chicken, salmon & liver; all the meat was tender and perfectly cooked, and accompaniments were were tasty. Portions were generous but not excessive. Desserts were also very good. The service was efficient, and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again.

Woodmansterne St, BansteadWe visited for breakfast with Santa, it was really lovely and very well organised.
Santa knew the kids names, had naughty/nice list. He interacted with the children and made it feel magical.

COOK Banstead
149 High St, BansteadExcellent service and delicious food. We first visited COOK in Banstead last summer and bought a few meals to try. All of them were great, and the service in store was brilliant. This time, we used the click and collect service. It was hassle free and very convenient. My order was ready to collect and staff were friendly and helpful. We bought some of the same meals and some different ones to try. We have the meals in the freezer to use if it's been a busy day and you just want something easy to cook. I would highly recommended COOK.

The decor was stunning, the staff went above and beyond, the food was beautifully presented and enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend it. The Indus Restaurant
13 Nork Way, Banstead1st visit to this lovely Indian restaurant. The food was amazing. For starters, we had garlic mushrooms and vegetable samosa. For the main, I had the garlic lamb curry, and my partner had a vegetable curry and rice. Both were very tasty. The staff we very friendly but sadly the restaurant is closing on 19th May, they will still be offering takeaway and a delivery service but if you can support a local restaurant YOU MUST try this one. I will definitely be having a takeaway from them in the future. I wish them well, and good luck in the future!!

89 High St, BansteadAbsolutely amazing cakes and buns. I come in for coffee at lunchtime and have recently started using the ‘too good to go’ app. This is going to be my new favourite place to meet friends for lunch. The food is delicious ❤️

Seine Rigger
11 Nork Way, BansteadMy aunty and uncle were visiting from Switzerland and they love having fish and chips when they come to England. This was honestly the best fish and chips we had all had in a long long time. The chips are fantastic. Lovely taste (I think it’s the oil they are cooked in helps make it) light and crispy on the outside , fluffy potato on the inside.
Mushy peas had a nice twist to them with the mint and tasted fresh but still traditional.
10/10!!

172 High St, BansteadNice little community cafe, okay pricing and workers had a nice caring attitude. The place is quite small with small tables close together. Clean toilet. My only problem was I ordered a jacket potato with tuna sweetcorn and cheese, and as one always expects, surely the tuna and cheese should be warmed and melted. Anyway they were cold, so I asked for them to heat it up (I think they had a microwave or something) so that the cheese could melt. I had salad on the plate with the jacket potato. As I feared, they put the whole plate in the microwave, and while they brought me back a nice melty cheesy tuna potato, the salad now was very warm and I was not able to eat it.
Also worth a mention that the fruit juices taste like those ones you get from a hotel, probably from like a squash or something.
Other than that, jacket potato was nice.

Gold Medal House
137 High St, BansteadGold Medal House in Banstead a really good chinese and fish and chip takeaway shop. It’s a really reliable takeaway and one that I’ve gone back to quite a few times. One of the biggest advantages is that it stays open late, which is great for commuters or anyone travelling back home in the evening and wanting something hot and filling without much hassle.
The portion sizes are consistently generous, which is always appreciated. You definitely feel like you’re getting good value for money. Even when it’s busy, the wait time is usually reasonable, and they manage orders quite efficiently. It helps that they have two separate counters – one for Chinese food and another for fish and chips and other items – so things move a bit quicker and don’t feel too chaotic.
Its always clean and therrs a huge space to wait but not a lot of chairs.
It’s also nice that it’s not just a standard Chinese takeaway. The menu is quite varied, with a wide selection of dishes, so you don’t get bored ordering the same thing. They also offer set meals for 2, 4, or 6 people, which are great if you’re ordering with family or friends and want a bit of everything.
The food itself is consistently good. It’s always prepared fresh, so it arrives hot and tasty, which makes a big difference.
The staff are generally fine – no issues, but nothing particularly standout either. The only real downside is that they only accept cash. There are cash machines nearby in Banstead village, but it would be much more convenient if they accepted card payments.
