“Went for a last minute Sunday lunch. Had the beef roast dinner, trio roast dinner and the pie. Two puddings too. Food was second to none. Thanks Sam, Emma and Nick customer service was great, cheerful and friendly. Will definitely be visiting again”

“We called in for a drink on a lovely, balmy summer’s evening. We were welcomed by Gemma, who is always so pleased to see you and very helpful. We ate later - great menu choices - eventually went for the 2 course meal deal, which was great! Beautiful surroundings - choice of sitting outside back garden including arbour, or out the front or inside - authentic and traditional with a contemporary twist. Great service with a smile. Thank you Gemma, we will be back!”

“No idea what's happened to this place. Used by be great. Now you wait for ages to be served, drinks order wrong (multi times) and staff have no urgency what so ever. Dirty tables just left. Once 5 stars now 2 due to decor”
