We've recently moved back to Horsham after years in Canada and last used the HM 50 years ago. Wednesday lunchtime, very quiet but young lady welcomed us and continued with great service. Chose a kind of tapas from the starters and everything was cooked fresh and was very good. Certainly a plus place for light lunch. Many thanks...

First rate, delicious and extremely well cooked fish and chips served by a very friendly waiter, Alan. Great service from the minute we stepped into the pub. Made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

We were at Half Moon this afternoon to celebrate my late Mum ,who use to live in Charlwood many years ago!Alan & his team did us very proud !There was 22 of us dinning & the service was superb! We had the Sunday Roasts.....Pork,Beef, Chicken & even Lamb on the menu, with all the traditional trimmings! The children had ,burgers, spaghetti bolognaise, chicken, sausage & chips all of a very high quality....Deserts were mouth watering, Homemade crumbles, sticky toffee, devine chocolate brownie all with generous servings of custard or ice-cream....Then there was the cheese board well that beat me this afternoon....all was delicious ?I would like to thank Alan & his team for helping to make this afternoon a very special occasion .....Certainly a warm welcoming place to return too!Kid-friendliness: The children were all made to feel very welcome , plenty of clean safe highchairs if needed!

Staying nearby before an early flight tomorrow morning from Gatwick. Lovely pub. Amazing fish pie. Alan was a wonderful host too. Friendly, warm and chatty. I'll be back next time I'm flying!

We held my mums wake here, the pub has been a big part of our family's history as we have lived in the village for many years. Ben, Maisie and all the team did an outstanding job and made a very difficult day a lot easier to bear. They took care of everything to ensure it all ran smoothly. The buffet was plentiful, fresh and varied, tea and coffee flowing the whole time. It meant so much to us to be able to remember mums life where she had spent so many happy, fun times and the stuff ensured it was a truly memorable day. Thoroughly recommend the moon.

What an amazing little Pub. Had never been here before and I can honestly say it was a lovely afternoon out with Family. Its a proper local pub, quite quirky and full of charm. Bar staff and our waiter Alan were amazing hosts. Lovely food and everything cooked to perfection. Will definitely be heading back here and will also pop down when they have their half moon festivals.

It was a disappointing visit. For a Saturday night it was very quiet & lacked atmosphere. The restaurant area had quite loud music but the sound was distorted by what appeared to be very old speakers, The food was ok but a bit expensive. When serving our main course the waitress knocked over my wife's wine which went over her clothes, she was apologetic and asked if it was a small glass as she was going to replace it. A strange thing to ask as it appeared she was trying to limit the pubs loss rather than make things right. Having wine over your jeans did not make for a comfortable stay! We did not hang around for long afterwards.
