Anniversary dinner...fantastic restaurant with loads of ambience and terrific food and service. We went with leek and potato soup, cod cheeks and halibut for starters and the beef cheeks fir the main course. All were cooked to perfection. The strawberry panacotta for dessert caped a great meal. The price is what you'd expect for an upmarket restaurant..£200 for 3 starters, 3 mains, a dessert, a bottle of wine and one cocktail. Definitely recommend if in the area.

Afternoon tea was disappointing. Frozen cucumber sandwich, leftover chicken sandwich, undercooked pinwheel. All tasting a little 'old'. Took a while to arrive and pot of tea arrived after food. I really wanted it to be better as it was a gift voucher we used. Would be nice if they kept the afternoon tea'ers together as it was a special occasion and there were lots of very underdressed people in shorts, going to the bar which lessens the experience. Would I go for afternoon tea again, no. Positives were staff and scones!

What can I say, what a fantastic meal we had in a private dining room at the fox dining rooms, we were staying over the easter break at foxhills and had some friends joining us for dinner, Ursula who is the best member of staff I have ever came across in a hotel resort, she organised us a private dining room just off the main restaurant. It was so special. The food was phenomenal , I had cod cheeks for starters and the braised beef for my main , which was mouth watering. The ambience / atmosphere and service we received was 5 star. The staff that looked after us were very attentive. I honestly can’t praise this place enough. We cannot wait to return. We love everything about foxhills and believe it is our special place.

We were luckily enough to go to Fox restaurant on Christmas Day. The food and service were excellent and the restaurant were great at catering for our vegetarian son and my gluten free mother in law. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and all the food was of an excellent standard- the staff couldn't do enough for us. A special trip but a very jolly, fun Farher Christmas made it extra special.

Visited the fox dining rooms today for the first time for afternoon with my friend, would highly recommend! We have a lovely afternoon, staff were attentive and friendly, we were not rushed and stayed for 3 hours - good atmosphere. The views were lovely also liked the Christmas touches with the tree & lights! The afternoon tea I thought was great value, a good selection of sandwiches, cakes, sausage roll slice & scones with cream & jam - everything fresh and delicious, with a great selection of tea to choose from - we had 2 pots each! Will look forward to visiting again.

A wonderful Saturday, champagne afternoon tea! A variety of sandwiches on soft, tasty bread, hot scones with strawberry jam and cream and a generous selection of cakes. The tea selection was also impressive and the champagne was light and crisp. The decoration was beautiful, the only downside was that there was no real atmosphere; we were sat in a corner table which was lovely but was seated close to one of the only two other dining parties which with no music or buzz, meant we could all hear one another’s conversations. Would visit again, perhaps on a weekday or a Sunday when more folks might be visiting.

Plenty staff for such lousy service. Most to blame are the supervisors. Fish cake and prawns tempura very low quality. On the Bernard Hunt course half way house very poor service. The starter was great. The course is good. Pro shop provider very good service. Very nice club shame about the service.

Possibly the most overpriced main course I have ever had. The lamb portion was tiny. And the cheese board was a complete embarrassment. Absolutely shocking. The cheese selection could not have been more uninspiring and they must have looked quite hard to find the cheapest crackers to complement the cheese. Shockingly poor.

My friend & I booked an afternoon tea here & were really looking forward to it. The hostess asked us as we sat down if there were any dietary requirement & I said that I didn't eat pork or shellfish. My friend said that she'd eat what I'd have so bring everything without the pork. The waitress brought out impressive looking tea & on a separate plate was two 'pork pies' & she said they they were veggie. I double checked with her & she confirmed that they were indeed veggie. I took one bite & they were NOT veggie but were pork pies. My friend then confirmed this. We looked at the sandwiches & they had served us a load with ham. Not exactly a pork free afternoon tea; more like a Pork afternoon tea! We asked another member of staff about this & he confirmed that they were indeed posr & took it away, gave us two glasses of bubble as an apology & replaced the whole tea with a veggie option. But we aren't veggie - I just don't eat pork. If I was veggie I would have said so. I eat fish & chicken & lamb etc & would have been very happy with any of those. I can't say we were impressed at all. At the same time we were there another family member was there (in another restaurant) & ordered the carrot soup - she was served a green soup. She said "That's a very green soup" & was told it was pea & spinach. Hmm I am so annoyed about being served pork when I don't eat it for religious reasons - I really think they shouldn't bother asking about dietary requirements if they're going to serve what they want to serve anyway. Thankfully it wasn't because of an allergy that I couldn't eat a certain food. I won't be rushing back to Foxhills that's for sure.

I have just come back from a 2 night stay at Foxhills. We ate both evenings in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The Octopus and the duck parfait were lovely. Followed by the beef blade which was truly lovely too. I would recommend and the team of staff were delightful too. I also ate there last year which was also very good but I feel it has stepped up a notch this year....I will be back soon.
