Quick pit stop! Quality service, picturesque location, nice and quiet place to have a bit of lunch or a pot of earl grey in the sunshine.Parking: Not a great deal but I think there may be another area, if the closest spaces are full.

Nice little place. Very chilled. Could be an amazing place. Tea cups haf a dirty ring mark inside. Staff where just standing around talking. Had to clear our own table as ordered some more drinks and cake and there was no room on the table to put them. It wasnt very busy only about 4 tables. We sat outside in the courtyard. Food was nice. Maybe take the olives off as not really meant to go on a ploughman's. Asked for no stilton and could we have extra chedder instead but it didnt happen. This place has so much more to offer, shame the staff couldnt be bothered

A delightful hidden gem, very peaceful and relaxing place for lunch. Food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. We had the ploughman’s lunch which was delightful and staff knowledge about ingredients was impressive. We will visit again.

Went to have lunch today and was very confused by the difference between eating in and taking away. The eat in menu was very limited and some of the combinations were a bit weird. Looking at the takeaway menu there was a massive choice. When I asked if we could choose from the takeaway menu but eat in I was told it would be served on a paper plate and I could eat it outside! I was happy to pay an eat in cost but they couldn't do it because she didn't know how much to charge. We found somewhere else for lunch.

A unique menu with offerings to satisfy all. Very well presented food and tasted great too. Coffee was perfect -hot and delicious.Soup could have been hotter, but staff very accommodating to correct it. Although gravy appeared watery, it was absolutely full of flavour. Brilliant place for a well priced meal and/or coffee.

Wonderful little place, staff very friendly and quality food
Not at all impressed…… We had sausage sandwiches for lunch but they were pre-cooked sausages warmed- through, not freshly-cooked and not what I was expecting at all. Then we had cakes to takeout, I had the apple and almond cake with clotted cream. The server cut a very large piece but when she took it into the kitchen to get the cream, the person in charge obviously decided it was too big and cut it in half! If I hadn’t seen the original piece I wouldn’t have minded…… but that wasn’t the worst of it…. When I got home and took the cake off the paper plate we were given there was a green mould stain on the paper plate. Almost half of the bottom of the cake was mouldy - yuk!

Always call into Bricks for coffee and the odd sandwich. Quality food. Always notice how clean the customer area is. You can keep within the covid restrictions as there is a lovely wooded area with picnic tables available. Smithbrook Kilns has free parking and lots of craft and retail shops which makes for a great visity
