Wow! Where to start! Esquires is such a brilliant Cafe. The food and drinks are so delicious as well as the environment being a welcoming and enjoyable place to sit. The staff are absolutely lovely particularly Rachel! She knows how to my make my favourite drink which is so yummy. Shes polite, kind and cheerful! Rachel is such a valuable staff member !

Nice atmosphere. Went in for a quick drink. Had a chat with a really friendly employee there. Her name is Rachel. Definitely coming again to see what the food is

I enjoyed my late breakfast at Esquires today. The two staff ladies were very friendly and attentive. Loved that I could get a large table so my dog had more space to lay on the floor and have a snooze ?. Food was good, coconut latte was good too. I will come back again.

Lovely local cafe/coffee shop.Food, tea and coffee were good, you can have them large cups (flowerpot sized) which was perfect for us.Our dog enjoyed a couple.of complimentary gravy bones. We'll be returning soon.

Only had drinks so can't comment on food. Wide selection of drinks available, no paper menu available and no WiFi to browse drinks so had to take pictures of the drinks signage and show my husband back at the table so he could make his choice. Drinks were nice and well presented.

This used to be a lovely place to sit and have a quiet coffee. Unfortunately now it is impossible to relax due to the nature of the staff. They were being unbelievably loud, shouting, and swearing! to each other across the cafe. completely unprofessional. One member of staff was walking around filming herself on her phone. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing. Will not be returning.

Just popped in for a quick drink with my partner to kill some time as we know the coffee is good. Coffee was good and prepared by a young friendly gentleman, however, the girls that were on shift were unprofessional and loud, like they were having a night out down the pub instead of being on shift. All sitting in the window alcove, chatting quite loudly about private things I won’t put in the review for the girls privacy. One girl walked past us filming herself on her phone. Another was eating her Kokoro in front of us with her fingers, licking her fingers and not washing her hands which is highly unhygienic if she is making coffee. As I said, the young gentleman made lovely coffee and he was friendly and professional, but the girls on shift with him. Felt bad for sitting in. Girls watching us like we’re inconveniencing them being in the shop. Such a shame. Was such a lovely coffee shop at one point

I came to right my review and was shocked to see the not so good reviews. My daughter and myself went in for breakfast today and it was wonderful.I had a full vegan breakfast and my daughter a full English. The presentation was lovely and the food so good.We waited a while for it but it was so worth the wait. Pleased to have discovered this place and we will definitely return

Really nice coffee, BUT too pricey. Place desperately needs a paint and deep clean!Definitely wouldn’t eat here for the prices they charge for basic food. Looks very substandard.Staff are always nice though!

Used to come in here around twice a Week and it just got worse and worse over the last 3 months or so, the friendly staff just turned into people who mumled to you with no conversation. With very creased normal clothing ( can't tell who's a customer and who is staff memembers. I'd felt this for a few months. Then the last straw was when a dog had messed on the floor (urine) and a female staff member got a mop and cleaned it up but left the bucket lent up against the customer side counter then the male behind the counter grabbed the dirty wet mop and pulled it right over the counter and blue rolled the mess up! Nothing to actually clean the urine water all over the counter! I then looked around and realised how dirty this place was it need one big deep clean! I won't be returning my dog deserves better let alone us humans!

I visited here at 9.15 in the morning and there was only a couple of other people that had already been served. Firstly Waitress / barista looked us up and down - eventually got breakfast some 35 minutes after ordering it …. And it was wrong . Explained this and she did say she would change it but it seemed to be a lot of effort for her! When the correct order eventually arrived after another 15 minutes - the eggs were like rubber and inedible . I was told the eggs are cooked in a microwave- and they are short of space . - and the staff wouldn’t eat them either and they taste awful. If they are short of space they should t offer them on the menu. It appeared they were cooking most things in a microwave . The whole place appeared fairly grubby but not knowing the area and looking it up on Instagram it appeared ok ! I was begrudgingly given a refund despite being looked up and down countless time again.

It takes quite a lot for me to write a bad review. This place left me feeling sad and frustrated. If you're paying a premium price for food, you don't expect to receive unseasoned, soggy food. After raising the issue, nothing was done, and I was treated like there was nothing wrong. I would put money on the fact that the staff wouldn't prepare food for themselves, the way they prepared my food that day.The spot wasn't particularly busy, with one girl chilling on the floor behind the counter, one hiding out back, and a guy on the coffee machine. The tables were dirty, and I had a little bug run across my menu... trying to shrug it off as a fluke, we ordered. You have to pay a fair bit for extras, and it was just disappointing.I would not recommend this spot to anyone, mainly because of customer treatment and the lack of knowledge on how to properly prepare food. The hot chocolates were nice.

If I could give 0 stars, I would - I’ve been to this Esquires 3 times in the last month and every time has been terrible in many ways. They have kids running the place who constantly group together behind the till and have AirPods in all the time. The food has always been cold and takes too long to come out. On 1 occasion it’s took 1hr 20mins for eggs on toast, which I could see from a distant being left at the till for 20 mins for other customers to talk all over it. There’s been 2 occasions now where I don’t even receive my drink and it’s been completely forgotten and on these occasions it was just a pot of tea (a drink that should take 30 secs to a minute to make!). The work surfaces are always dirty and cluttered, tables empty with plates and cups. I wouldn’t mind if the place was busy but it’s always quiet! For the staff - they don’t know how to give a refund on the till, it took 4 of them huddled round the till to figure it out. They have headphones in when serving customers! They really do not care and I’m surprised that this place is still open! It’s embarrassing that they think this is acceptable.
