My daughters wedding reception. Small and intimate, lovely relaxed afternoon and evening. With good food and wine shared with dear

Just back from a family dinner for a family of 5 at Bar 163, and absolutely delighted at the wonderful evening we had.Last frequented Bar 163 prior to Covid and although it was nice, it wasn't especially memorable. Tonight was a complete contrast, the decor was inviting, lighting was subtle and gave a warming ambience, which was very welcome on a night of a torrential downpour! I understand that it has a new owner, and it really shows. We were with our parents in their 70''s, and our 3 year old son, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food was exceptional, the pork belly especially, which had a thick and perfectly crispy crackling, paired with a lovely bottle of Argentinian Malbec (less than £40). Sensational Affogato to follow.Lovely restaurant, surprisingly large as it transpires, with plenty of seating, including an outside seating area, pavement tables (continental Europe anyone?) plus an upstairs room and balcony. Despite the capacity, it still somehow managed to feel intimate and we had a lovely evening.Staff were amazing, food was exceptional and the building itself is quite charming actually.Well worth the short drive from Windsor and we will definitely visit again soon!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options, we had one vegetarian with us and she was very happy with her meal.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, high chairs on offer and staff were very engaging and charming with the kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor access via a wide door, plenty of tables at ground level.

Honestly, if you're looking for a relaxed and memorable dining spot, this is it!Had an amazing time at Bar 163 for an early Saturday dinner with the girls. The hidden garden at the back is lovely! We started with Walnut and Goats Cheese salad and Salmon Gravilax (daily special), followed by chicken Caesar salad and mussels in white wine sauce. A bottle of wine rounded off the perfect meal. The staff was friendly, and the place feels much improved under new management. Highly recommend!

I was there with my family of 4. Two of us had different Thai curries. There was barely 2 spoonfuls of rice and hardly any food on the plate. Very very poor value for money. This restaurant was always a good place to go with lovely food but not anymore. The wine was warm and other people were saying the same. There are plenty of other places to eat.

What a lovely spot in Egham with a sunny terrace out the back and a little balcony overlooking the high street. I went there for a business lunch, the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious, all home made and beautifully presented. Thank you and see you again soon!

Have not been here for sometime so we were pleasantly surprised to see major improvements in terms of service, food quality & choice and a high standard of professionalism . All was spot on great service and high food quality. Maybe they could change the layout of the Breakfast Menu , it looks odd in a simple type face minor point.

First time at Bar163 since about 1995 (I moved away rather than that I’ve been avoiding the place!). Food was excellent and it seemed to have the same vibe as when I used to go a LOT. I was told it was under new management but I’m sure I saw the original owner trimming one of the plants outside!

This restaurant is in the high street of Egham, well located and easy to get to. The staff very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. They even thought to ask how long I wanted between courses. A big plus for that. The menu was not extensive but is well balanced with choices for every taste. I had the rib-eye, medium rare, and cooked to perfection. Great selection of Belgian beers.

First breakfast came out with overcooked, scrambled eggs on a cold plate with a thumbnail of hashbrowns. Second plate came out with undercooked, scrambled egg, still on the cold plate no hashbrowns.

We sat outside in the lovely courtyard as the weather was good. Overall, we had a good experience. The food is amazing. Tempura prawns to start where fab. The burger and Katsu chicken for mains where also exceptional. The only downside was the service. I asked for a second beer which did not arrive. When it did arrive, it was meant to have gone to another table. We felt that once the inside of the restaurant started to get busy, that we were forgotten about. We did have desserts and cocktails, both of which were also good. I would recommend trying this out as I know they are working on the service. We will definitely go again

Cannot praise the staff at Bar 163 enough! They looked after us so well when we popped in for a birthday brunch, spoiling the birthday girl and the awkward vegan! The outdoor area was a delight for the sunny warm weather and the food was delicious but it's the customer service that we will be back for. Thanks so much for looking after us!

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and a friendly welcome. Great to have several vegan choices. Beautiful courtyard garden for drinks and dining at the back of the restaurant and a room for parties upstairs.
