Enjoyed a FANTASTIC Sunday lunch here. One of the most delicious roast beef and all the trimmings I’ve had for a long time. It was all cooked to perfection and served by a friendly team under the expert watchful eye of Antonio. Great job!Great pub, super dog friendly.I’d highly recommend it!

We went as a party of 6 on a Sunday. The food was phenomenal. The service was flawless, friendly, warm and welcoming. A very relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to enjoy one of the best lamb roasts I've had for a long time. Highly recommend this beautiful place. As a side note this pub has plenty of parking

Took an elderly friend here for a drink. Can't say enough about how helpful the staff are. The lift was broken but they directed us to another entrance and assisted all the way. Very impressed with their customer

Popped in for a drink on mother's day.Not booked but staff were welcoming even though they were extremely busy.Look forward to going again in the future.

We had a brilliant dinner here yesterday. The food was great, but the staff really made it. They were super friendly on welcome, and once we realised I'd booked a table for Friday (not Saturday!), they were really helpful finding us a new table for 6 of us. A great range of gluten free options and a good choice on the menu. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone.

Excellent roast beef, one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had (already been twice). Service was good. Good ale.Kid-friendliness: Good high chairs and kids menu.

I use it a fair bit despite these comments as its close to me. Lacks atmosphere. Food is reasonable but not brilliant ( better food in other pubs nearby)Good I guess for dog walkers.Nice staff.Summing up its okay at best

Went with my partner and dog on a Saturday evening. Waited quite a long time to be seated and then were put right by another table with dogs, by the loud kitchen, despite most other tables being free. The dogs on the other table seemed bothered by our dog but we weren't offered another table when they were barking.Ordered drinks and main courses. Asked for water, which never came. Food was poor; fish and chicken burger were burnt and tasteless. Side order was added to wrong main course. No one came to check on us or offer more drinks so went to the bar to get the original water. Waited for ages at the bar before noticing a tank of water at the end of the bar, which was empty so I approached a server to ask for water again - he said he wouldn't be a moment but then wandered around the pub and kitchen, not seeming to do much. Another server then came to the bar and got the water. We told the waiter that the food was disappointing so we were surprised that 'optional' service charge was still added to the bill when it eventually came. Waited a long time to pay so went to the bar to settle up, where we again had to wait for too long. We felt uncomfortable asking for service charge to be removed because it just assumed we would pay it but both the food and service were terrible. We left feeling like our date ruined because it the experience was better, we would have stayed for the duration of the evening rather than getting out ASAP.This is definitely not a gastro pub as advertised.

First outing with friends in 18mths (due to health reasons). And we went for a Sunday Roast. Parking was easy and didn't need to walk too far.The place was busy which is a good sign and thankfully they gave us a corner seating area away from the crowds.Starters we got were scotch eggs and onion soup. Onion soup was a bit salty but was ok, but the scotch egg was tasty. For roasts we got beef and lamb. The beef was good and a generous portion of veg. You can get extra portions of potatoes & Yorkshire puddings complimentary. For dessert I got the crumble with custard, which was ok. Would have preferred a bit more custard and less sour tasting. It was a shout by our friends and would drop in again if I'm ever in the neighbourhood.

Lovely family meal. Plenty of parking and the staff were really nice. We had 2 courses, chicken burgers were great, fish cake was good too however not very big so could have done with come chips or a side. I would go

It was nice to see a few things on the menu beyond the usual pub offerings, though they are there as well. The food was excellent, service very good, and prices were comparable with similar venues. The 'ambient music wasn't intrusive, the atmosphere was pleasant, though could be a little too 'cosy' at busier times. Having a decent sized car park is obviously a positive All in a very pleasant experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Even though sitting some way above ground level there does appear to be wheel access using combination of ramp and lift.

I’ve recently rediscovered this gem of a country pub and am delighted I have! The manager, Tony, is a true host - nothing is too much trouble, he chats to everyone & anyone and it’s clear he cares about his business. He goes the extra mile to ensure everyone has a great time and I will make this my pub restaurant of choice when I’m in the area. Food was first class and delivered with a smile by the friendly staff. Great job
