Service was slow even though the place was almost empty. Food was quite nice and parking is free as long as you enter your registration in the restaurant.

The food was really horrible wouldn’t advice going here at all, the chef forgot a lot of stuff from our plates, and the things they didn’t forget was freezing cold, this place is very unorganised as we had to get our own menus. This is the second meal we have had here and both meals have been absolutely awful. Food was wrong, cold. And un-eatable

Food was very good. We were looked after by josh who was absolutely amazing. The restaurant was extremely busy and very understaffed you could tell that he had a million things to do. Despite this he gave us a great service and was so kind and helpful, a really nice lad. The drinks were slow to come out and taking our order to begin with but it was again that this was due to their not being enough staff which was not any of the waiters/waitresses fault. Despite that food was really good and cheap would go again. Hope that josh is on good salary considering he was still smiling nearly 9 hours into his shift at half 8 in the evening ?

We ate here as it’s next to the premier inn that we stayed in. Booked a table for 7.30pm. The restaurant wasn’t full but we were told they had been very busy so there was a list of things they had run out of, which included all burgers. The service was desperately slow, we had to ask them to take our order for drinks and then for food. The place was filthy, the floor was covered in food and rubbish, pens, napkins, cutlery. The music playing in the kitchen was loud rap music which was very bizarre and not in keeping with the restaurant at all. There was no toilet paper at all in any of the toilets, both male and female. We tried to find a member of staff to ask for some but there was no one around. The restaurant has potential to be lovely and the food was nice although not as ordered (the steak did not appear to be a rib eye and was not medium/rare, the mixed grill did not have a 4oz steak included and had no onion rings) But the place is a shambles and dirty. If it wasn’t for the fact we were staying next door and had had a drink, we would have left and gone elsewhere. I appreciate this is a family restaurant and it may have been a busy day ( although I don’t feel that the first Sunday in January is a peak time for people eating out) but there’s no reason for the ridiculously slow service, the dirty restaurant, and toilets that are unusable.

Awful visit. Booked a 12-top table that was not ready on arrival, waited almost 2 hours to be told no table was available and no roasts available because "no ovens". Had to get own drinks. Senior staff were rude and aloof, uninterested in problems. Food was mediocre, drinks overpriced. Will not return. Totally spoiled a Christmas family meal by not having turkey or any festive roast dinners at all.

Evening meal good value and reasonable good. Breakfast service set up not so good. Wich is unusual for premier inn.

This had to be the worst service and food we have experienced at any restaurant ever! We booked a table of 12 at 2.30 on a Saturday afternoon , on arrival we were shown to our table by a young lad who then took our drinks order , now bear in mind there were only 10 other guests in the restaurant on arrival.. it took them 20 minutes to get our drinks .. We then placed our order for starters and mains … this is when it went downhill very quickly . 40 mins later there was no sign of our starters so I got up to look for a member staff to find NO staff on the shop floor , I then went over to the cooking station to find our starters under the hot lights waiting to be delivered , I asked the chef when they would be delivered but he said he was waiting for a member of the team to deliver , we waited a further 10 mins and still nothing , at this point we got up and went and collected our now cold starters ourselves .. when a young lady did appear at the bar I went and asked her to get the manager , now this poor girl had just stared her new job, so she went and got the Manager , well when he did turn up , he must have been Basil fawltys brother his attitude was staggering saying it’s not his fault as the company said he is only allowed skeleton staff on a Saturday lunch time , which we found staggering. He the went on to explain he was dealing with another issue and he would be the one delivering our mains well 2 hours after arrival our mains arrived and the food was awful , steaks were cold , prawns were raw , chicken was like rubber , chips that had about 30 seconds in the fryer and ribs as dry as National lampoons Christmas vacations turkey . Best be said we were not going to order deserts or coffee as some of other group had other commitments after nearly 3 hours in the restaurant.. while you could see the restaurant was struggling to service us and other guests he was still allowing other guests to arrive , what he should have done is put a notice up to inform people of the long waiting times due to staff shortages .. on paying I approached the young waitress as she looked so upset with her new job experience and I told her it’s not her fault and it’s down to the manager to manage his staff and bookings.. However she did a fantastic job on her first day with no support from anyone else.. Safe to say we will never return here again

Booked a table for 5pm so was pretty quiet at first still took them 45 mins to take our order and we had to ask for that! Missed one of the children’s starters and then same happened with the main. One of the group ordered medium rare steak came out well done! Service generally very poor didn’t ask if wanted sauces or more drinks until I was about to go to the bar myself. Took the full 3 hours which is all you can park for! Mostly the food was good just shocking service I guess not enough staff and those there are poorly trained. As others have said still lots of missing items on the festive menu, not a problem for us but what a badly run restaurant.

We arrived for our meal with friends and the bar was a quick service our table was booked for 7 30 as we where early we all sat an chatted we then went to our table sat down waited for about 10 mins to be served by a waitress only to be told there was no festive menu which we had all booked for after choosing a different menu and waiting for 20 mins for it to arrive was to say the least disappointing the food we had was satisfactory but we where disappointed with it our friends all said they wouldn't return and felt let down by not having enough to choose as we all wanted the festive meal

We had a great evening to celebrate a couple of family wins. We ordered the chicken/rib combo, burger and curry. All exceeded expectations. The chicken rib combo was far bigger than expected, chicken was moist and ribs meaty and fell off the bone. My son devoured the burger and my husband really enjoyed the curry. The waiter was attentive and bigged up the cocktail waiter, who made wonderful cocktails ? value for money evening out, good food, can't fault it

We booked as we had purchased a Groupon festive meal, Great but on Christmas Eve this wonderful restaurant had no festive meals left as the Turkey in change had not ordered any. Wonderful we now had a pre paid meal that was worthless and the Turkey in charge didn't even offer any alternatives apart from go to another far better managed beefeater to use the pre paid meal, Very unhelpful and not really what you would expect.

First time I have been there in years. Will not be going back. Festive menu not available due to equipment malfunction. Sunday roast not available as don't offer this during festive menu period. Coffee machine out of order. No toilet roll in the women's lavatory. By far the worst of the whole experience was that there was a snail on my mother's rocket. Complained to waiter he apologised and said as it was in pre washed bags they don't rinse it through prior to plating up. They redid the dish which meant that my mum ate after us. The fish and chips was barely mediocre get better in wetherspoons which is saying something. When we paid for the bill, we had no further apology or offer to refund the meal in question. Have emailed my complaint and only received a generic automated response.

Had a large table with kids for a friends Xmas catch up meal, and had a lovely time in no small part down to our waitress Ellie. She was kind, helpful, chatty, engaging and pleasant throughout. It was a shame that due to an oven breakdown the festive menu wasn't available, but still an enjoyable afternoon where nothing qas too much trouble despite being an "active" table. Thank you Ellie and all staff for an enjoyable day! Merry Christmas!

We had our works department Christmas lunch there today. Everything was ordered/booked about 5 or 6 weeks ago. We where shown our seating area 12.30pm, by a waitress, who then started to write out what drinks we wanted. 10 minutes later 1 tray of drinks arrived, for us then to be told. We all had to go to the bar and get our drinks. Then an hour later our starters started to arrive in over then next 10 minutes. Then about 40 minutes later the main meals came out. They were very disappointing. The turkey was/looked pre sliced. Not carved from a real bird. By the time some of us had finished our main not everyone had received theirs. 2 people never received their main at all. Then the puddings were bought out in dribs and dabs. As was the service during our meal. We all finished and left 3.15pm. Our company spent £35 per head. Needless to say we will be else where next year.
