An amazing building and classic English pub.Went recently for a Sunday lunch with the family. The food was great, pork roast a little dry unfortunately but nothing negative for the others in the group. The building is phenomenal and the outside area amazing. Bit of a lack of parking so on a Sunday be very careful, the food took a bit of a while to come as well but they were very busy. All the staff themselves however were incredibly friendly and helpful. Stop in for lunch or dinner just maybe not 2pm on a Sunday!

The menu is very limited with poor options for people with food allergens. Fortunately my wife, a coeliac, was not with me or I would have needed to go elsewhereDietary restrictions: Poor options for allergy sufferers

Went for Sunday lunch, not as good as it used to be. Waited 1hr for the starter, Sunday lunch used to come with shared vegetables and cauliflower cheese but not

This is a gem of a find. I have eaten here several times, and the food has always been of a high standard. Staff are always very friendly and attentive. The open mic night is the first Thursday of every month and is well attended. Well worth the visit even for the working mill wheel alone.

Been going here for years..... Lovely place and always had great attentive staff. Prices are steep though... 2 beers and a pack of crisps is £14

Booked a table for 9 at 1pm. We were asked to confirm roast choices in advance. 1 person in our group was 5 minutes delayed and the meals were brought out before he arrived, despite us saying we were waiting for 1 more person. We booked a table at 1pm - we didn’t book to eat at 1pm The meals were only lukewarm. We asked for condiments which took ages to arrive. Surprise was expressed when we asked for nite apple sauce - a tiny amount was served on the plate. Dessert was hurried. It felt like they just wanted our table. Very unimpressed.

We liked it here. It was a cold February day, and we ate a nice roast which could only have been improved with hotter plates.Conor was a star and lit the fire for us to sit beside after dinner, so we stayed longer for dessert, coffee and drinks.

As a Wedding Photographer, I have been to The Mill a handful of times and photographed here twice. The Mill at Elstead is a cosy, rustic pub with beautiful exterior and interior. The interior features wooden beams, many cosy and characterful rooms and great views of the River. The Mill is situated with the River Wey and features a bridge and gorgeous weeping tree, with outdoor seating great for the Summer. It lends itself so well to autumn weddings, but would suit any time of year perfectly! The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and their organisation is brilliant. I would highly recommend visiting the Mill one afternoon and even booking your wedding there.

A pre-booked, pre-ordered family birthday lunch. The food was delicious but the service was lacking. Such a shame for a pub that's obviously busy, seemed like a lack of pride and initiative in some of the team. Also, the building is sooo big and busy that it might be useful to have all serving areas staffed....

You definitely can’t argue this is a beautiful pub and location. As soon as you walk in you have that massive mill turning and it’s rather stunning. The building also is very nice.Location. You can walk there but I couldn’t imagine doing it at night as you do need to walk on a main road for a bit of it.We sat on a high table overlooking the river. I had a fish finger sandwich with triple cooked chips. Chips were great and the sandwich was average. My girlfriend had the pork chops which she loved.I drank a few Frontiers and they were great (pricey)Staff seemed great and I could imagine when it’s packed at summer they would be able to run the place very smoothly.Overall it is a pub to visit if you’re in the area like we were. It is pricey but what do you expect? I would like to come back in summer and see what it’s like then.

Pub grub of a good quality, friendly, helpful and informative staff. Great location and all at a reasonable cost.
