Fish and chips were lovely , the chips were with a clear nice colour suggestive that the oil is changed regularly, ☺️the batter was just right not to thick! And the people serving very friendly and politePleasantly surprised! Would recommend it!

As a traditional British love fish & chips, this was always my first go to for such a long time (years) but just lately the chips have been appalling, all bitty bits & dry, most have ended up in the bin & I hate waste let alone spending money on something that we all rely on being a good service, I feel the care & quality has gone downhill!

Always amazing food at super prices. The lads in behind the counter are lovely and always ask after you. The chicken is amazing and I would advise getting the coleslaw, it's gorgeous. My son loves the burgers too. It's are no1 go to takeaway we have at least 1 every 2

We bought two pieces of fish, chips and fried chicken expecting good things.Unfortunately, the batter of the fish was soggy and oily, and the worst thing is that the fish isn't as fresh as it should be, bordering on being stale. We compare this to other fish and chips shops around Guildford.Our conclusion: Empire are generalists in terms of food, so if you want fish and chips, Seafare nearby do it much better (and also a few quid cheaper). Empire's one saving grace is their chips and fried chicken, which are at least decent. But overall, our entire family was disappointed with the takeaway meal.

The most expensive fish and chips I've ever thrown in the bin food all stuck together chips fallen out of bag where bag had fallen apart the mushy peas and curry we on the floor as fell out of bottom of bag and not that hot absolutely rubbish

Visited Guildford and popped to Empire for dinner, the food was amazing and the staff made us feel at home as we dined in...they truly went above and beyond. I highly rate this place.
