Had a great evening with friends last night at Guildford turtle bay. The place was full and atmosphere was amazing !! Our waitress Maddy was really going above and beyond to accommodate us. She answered all of our questions and was so nice and smily.

Food was really nice and spicy, and we loved the margaritas. Our bartender Callum brought them over and even recommended few more drinks to have later :D

The trio of dips are outstanding, though I find the extra £4.95 for pita bread very cheeky (of course you’re going to want bread?!). Every main I’ve tried has been delicious. Same applies to the desserts - tiramachoux and the ekmek tsoureki are great

Nice cozy atmosphere with the vibes of a Japanese tea house. Food is fresh and delicious. Manager and owner are friendly and provided good service. Like the Unangi, dragon rolls and tuna sashimi.

One thing to take note is that not all customers are familiar with the ordering protocols, maybe worth informing customers to order food through the QR code. The code unfortunately was “hidden” in a teeny weeny table stand located at the far end of the table.

A great local pub with friendly service. As well as normal drinks and meals out we have used to celebrate a couple of occasions with a large group including lots of dogs. The team are really friendly and make sure everyone is well looked after. Food is consistently great quality and it has a good selection of drinks.

Parking: No parking at pub bit there are places nearby to park for a charge.

Such a lovely pub and beautiful setting with incredible food and drinks (best roast we’ve had), but it’s the service we keep coming back for. Gomshall has some of the nicest staff I’ve ever experienced - special shout out to Jill who was not only massively helpful to us (immediately noticed I was feeding my baby and put my food under the hot plate) but also to everyone else in there who needed assistance at any point! Each time we’ve been the staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate us and provided amazing service from start to finish. Definitely our new favourite pub!

Managed to play 2 quick 1980s games within the hour. We had some fizzy pop and a bowl of star mix!
The bowls of sweets were a cool idea and we agreed that it was a nice change from the usual café selection.
Prices were really reasonable and the staff were also friendly.
We could only book an hour but would have definitely stayed longer if it were possible, but the place was so popular that it was booked out.

We celebrated my birthday at Kinghams Restaurant and it truly made the day unforgettable.

The food was exceptionally good — beautifully prepared, thoughtful, and full of flavour. Every dish felt carefully composed and a pleasure to enjoy.

What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. They kindly arranged a very private table for us which created a lovely atmosphere.

It’s rare to feel so genuinely cared for in a restaurant, and they made my birthday feel truly special!

De Nada Tapas

Our experience at De Nada Tapas was mixed. The gambas al ajillo was tasty, the churros were really good and the waiter was friendly and hard working, but service was slow due to him being the only person working front-of-house, and we could see once it got busier he was rushed off his feet.

This caused a 20 minute wait for food, and when it came to paying it took almost 30 minutes to get from asking for the bill, to actually paying.

I can’t fault the waiter as it clearly wasn’t his fault, but it did get quite tedious as we had a rapidly expiring car park ticket and places to be after our visit.

I would suggest having more than one waiter to run the floor, he not only had to seat tables, take orders and run drinks, but he also had to prepare drinks, run food and clear tables. All manageable by oneself if quiet, but when you have several tables come in at once, as happened during our visit, it quickly becomes unmanageable and leads to a poorer experience for customers.

My son wanted to have his birthday meal at an Italian restaurant in Guildford. I used trip advisor so assist my search and came across this place. I am so pleased I did. We had wonderful celebration and beautiful food. My 12 year old son takes pizza seriously and he thought it was amazing. I had a really lovely chicken salad. The team were attentive without being intrusive. We ordered dessert for the children, 2 strawberry cheesecakes but unfortunately they only had one left. Of course birthday boy got the cheesecake and our daughter had ice cream. The cheesecake arrived with a candle and they sang happy birthday. It was truly a wonderful evening and we can’t wait to return.

I had the Salmon and greens breakfast/brunch and it was delicious. The salmon was fresh and plentiful as was the avocado which was also beautifully seasoned. The spinach was perfectly wilted and the two poached eggs were the best I’ve had in memory. I can’t remember what the pickle was but it complemented scrumptiously, as did the sourdough toast. I also had a green juice which was delicious and an earl grey tea which was what it was. I was part of a large group that met for brunch, we had a great time, fab atmosphere and loved that there were doggos there too ?

A lovely cafe! Homely, but still spacious and with plenty of seating inside and out. Fantastic views of the river if you’re outside too!

I enjoyed the coffee, and the food was good too. But I did find the selection quite limited, it was primarily just sandwiches.

I was there at 11am on a Sunday, and was surprised that they didn’t seem to have a breakfast menu. And if they did, they didn’t have it on the table, or offer it to us.

Still, a nice place to sit and catch up with friends. Easy to walk from town, and with plenty of parking. £14.50 for a sandwich and a coffee.

The very best Inn we have ever stayed in! The food is absolutely top-notch. From breakfast with such choices (thoroughly recommend the cooked full english)! to the main meals. Such a variation, well priced, and exceptional. No other word can describe it . Ambience throughout was great, and the real ales were to die for. Our room was superb, as was our welcome and assistance. We met with old friends who many years ago attended our schools country annex, and what is now Peaslake House. We visited too the local store, incredible food. I cannot recommend the Inn and it's staff more Thank you for such a memorable experience. We did not want to come home..

My friends and I dined here on Friday evening and had a lovely time!

Asad who looked after us was warm, friendly and welcoming. He had a great sense of humour and took care of us very well indeed.

The food was tasty - we ordered several dishes to share and enjoyed everything. Particular highlights were the rather spicy fish curry, okra bajhi and chicken shashlik. That said, everything was delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Honestly some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Don't be fooled by it's understated appearance, you really won't be disappointed!

I originally posted this a year ago - edited just to say... It's still excellent! Absolutely fantastic fish. Genuinely brilliant and great value to boot.

UPDATE: Five years on... Just had haddock and chips, both cooked to perfection. Still awesome ??

Great decaffeinated coffee served outside (under cover). In my hunt for decent decaffeinated coffee Sicool is definitely a good choice and it’s cheaper than the likes of Gail’s. Not tried any good but it looks good!

Bart's in inside the climbing centre, so has a nice atmosphere to it. A great option to get incredible freshly made food to suit your needs, be it waiting for others, refueling between climbing, or a catch up with friends while also climbing.

The food quality is phenomenal and is always fresh and well made! Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had.

A great selection of coffee and cakes with milk alternatives available.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating.

My regular place for lunch within the staghill campus. I not only find the food comforting and the portion size good and suiting to an Asian rice-eater, but also find the atmosphere bustling and warm. Its not one of those silent boring places. The lunch meal deal is quite a deal.

This place is an absolute family favourite — and we feel so lucky to live nearby. That said, the portion sizes tend to be better when you order takeaway, which is exactly what we do. We just give them a call, place our order, and it’s ready for collection in about half an hour. Really love it here.
