Fantastic food served in a traditional pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Polite and friendly staff and the beef wellington special was delicious.

Beautiful old traditional pub. Great atmosphereUnfortunately, food is terrible and does't justify the hefty bill.

I got to say one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time the fish cakes was that hot the steam bellowed out of them when I cut them in half and the outside was soggy not at all crispy they definitely was microwaved the prawn pil pil was way to spicy very disappointing the best part of the meal was the

Very slow service but, to be fair, they had some sort of function on. I thought the cider, at £6 a pint, was a bit expensive but it was a nice pint. Sat by the roaring fire, very

Having been a frequent visitor over the last few years last night was very disappointing. The Withies has always been a favourite, but everything has changed and not for the better. Staff were not friendly or helpful, the iconic menu has gone and instead the menu didn't really know what it was, food was average at best but very expensive. A real shame.

Lovely historic pub, friendly staff, a blazing log fire, good beer, and tasty food - a great choice for a light lunch/warm-up with friends on a cold walk.

A trip down memory lane for me, as this was our "posh" pub when I was at the University of Surrey, with a restaurant our parents took us to. Lovely to be back. We met the owner who was a gracious charming host. There have been additions made to the bar and dining area. Still in love with the pub. The cold seafood board was excellent. The ham could have been a lot better quality and thickness, though they offered us some more. Good drinks, good service, wonderful place

Sadly we won’t be returning to The Withies Inn despite enjoyable visits in the past….wine was ridiculously overpriced and staff not overly friendly,We ordered our (overpriced) drinks at 16:50 (on a Sunday) only to be told at 17:08 (AFTER ordering and paying £16 for a pint of Fullers Pride and a medium white wine) that we had to leave because the pub was closed….we were pretty gobsmacked (mainly at the price for 2x drinks!) and not at all impressed with the unapologetic attitude of the staff!

We had my father’s wake at this lovely old pub. Hugh could not have been more helpful when planning the wake. We arrived early as the weather was extremely cold and the staff were superb. There was a booked gluten free platter for a guest which was so thoughtfully laid out and the food for the wake was excellent. I’m not sure anything was left! Thank you to all the staff for being so brilliant to all of our guests. Everyone was very impressed with the staff and the food and we will be def coming back again. Many many thanks.
