What a fantastic old Manor house, firstly the staff was very attentive, helpfull and friendly. Secondly hotel and especially the room we booked was very very nice and relaxing, the hotel seating areas had log fires burning totally a chill out two days for our anniversary. Lastly the food, wow..the afternoon tea with bubbles on the first day fantastic took 2 hours to finish so good and very large , light meal that night...second night three course dinner in the restaurant excellent food couldn't find fault. Again very relaxed not rushed very happy with a two day stay...

Fantastic food, wonderful service and lovely venue set in a very picturesque location, makes a visit to Langshott Manor a very pleasant and memorable dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s all the way.

False advertising for afternoon tea private room hire! Website advertised at £40 per person for private room hire when emailed enquiry I was quoted £59!!!! Rude member of staff. Do not recommend! Avoid if you don't want to be scammed!!!!!!!

We had an afternoon tea , and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The actual presentation of the afternoon tea was lovely. Food was exquisite . Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful, visited for a 50th wedding anniversary tea party. The staff were very accomadating with my allergy. Cakes are lovely, especially the Scones with clotted cream. Afternoon tea is normally around £40, and I would visit again.Walkability: It is slightly hard to find if you leave the car at home, but the walk is extremely pleasant.

Went for Sunday lunch, food was good and lots of it. Staff were attentive but nearly all the girls had holes in their tights and a couple had dirty clothes. Our reservation was down for afternoon tea even though we asked for lunch when booking. Staff seemed a bit disjointed and not sure what they were doing.

The staff are great and a credit to the hotel as is the calm ambience of the hotel. It is like going back in time and staying at someone’s home. The afternoon tea was lovely but the hotel seems.. tired. The gardens have such potential but are so obviously unloved, without a proper gardener to tend it, which would truly level the place up. The main decor isn’t vintage and inkeeping, it’s cheap and modern, although it is ‘freshened up’ I guess. The place oozes potential - e.g. for a kitchen garden, classes, garden events and it just seems.. to cover the very basics required of a supposedly luxury (that’s so lost these days) old hotel living off a reputation of times gone by and chain-hotel marketing with no one to really make it unique. It would suit a pool and being boutique. It has the potential as an oasis of calm for retreats.. it’s lack luster and sad.

Went for afternoon tea with some friends. It was mid-week, so quiet. The hotel is tucked away down a single track road. It feels like over the years it has become gradually hemmed in by housing development. The main building is listed and looks very old, full of character from the outside and satisfyingly creaky on the inside. There was a slightly grubby, closed book on a lectern near reception. As we waited for our guests I opened it, expecting it to be a coffee table type book about the hotel. It was about the hotel but, curiously, it was basically a photo album, with loose Polaroid type pictures inside. I felt if I picked it up they’d have fallen all over the floor. The garden was pleasant enough but the room in which tea was served was disappointing. It was drab, felt a bit dirty and was panelled but without any decoration. A bit sad and characterless. Afternoon Tea menus looked tired. The tea itself was OK. Nothing special. Service was functional but as a positive (for us) non-intrusive and not hurried. Overall the initial positive vibe dissipated and one was left with an impression of a place that needs some love, care and a sparkle of personality to refresh what is a fine old building.

This is a tricky review to write. We’d booked the afternoon tea, dinner, B&B package with friends. I was hopeful that our experience would differ from recent bad reviews on here. Firstly, the afternoon tea was reasonably good; nice sandwiches, fresh scones etc. Staff were friendly but one or two lacked basic training, taking away unfinished drinks/mixers etc. The pond/lake in the garden was empty and covered in green algae. Our room (Leonardslee) was spacious and comfortable with a huge bathroom. The little patio garden was nice but a little unkempt. The room was clean apart from blood stains on the carpet which wasn’t very nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable! Dinner was a decent standard, perhaps not to 3 rosette level, but tasty and well presented. The dining room was soulless and lacked atmosphere. We all felt this. After dinner we moved to the lounge. Unfortunately this was a drab room with dated furnishings/decor/carpet etc. Having stayed at other hotels within the group, Langshott feels like the poor relation. It’s tired and desperately needs investment - it could be stunning. It deserves to be so. We did have an enjoyable stay and overall it was a positive experience but there needs to be more done here to bring it inline with its sister hotels.

We were here for a wedding reception and stayed in the hotel. The setting is very pretty and I like how they feed the ducks that seem to reside there! The staff were mostly friendly and made us feel welcome. However, I think I had a good time mostly because of the people around me because the actual hotel service was poor. Our room was dirty when we checked in- bins still full from the last guests, food on the floor etc…. The blinds were broken, so I couldn’t adjust them without them falling off the wall and then me having to reattach them. As a result, they didn’t do their job of actually covering the windows. At the bar, I had a Diet Coke, which tasted like it had been in a cupboard since the hotel was built! Went to breakfast and the staff, despite walking in and out of the room, would not clear any tables. I had to leave the room to find some staff in the end to ask for some fresh cutlery and a new glass for water. The food itself was decent- I do wonder how they ended up with a zero for their hygiene rating though and had I known that before eating, I probably would’ve been more hesitant. Oh and the shower was cold even when on its hottest setting. So I most likely wouldn’t return and would probably choose a budget hotel if I were staying in the area!

We got married there on 12th August. 2023 and my husband and I are so happy we picked this as our venue. Did everything go 100% perfectly? No, but I was told by some friends not to expect that on my wedding day and there were only very minor things that happened that did not affect the day in any way at all! We had exclusive use of the venue and all the rooms and everyone has said how beautiful the location was and how lovely the staff were and it really was the best day I could have asked for. We had 49 guests and it was the perfect size. I totally recommend it as a wedding venue! I was told over and over how it was like a fairytale and the setting really really was! If you are unsure, go and visit. I think you'll fall in love with it just like we did!nThank you to everyone who made the day what it was <3Noteworthy details: Fantastic wedding venue!

I really wish l could mark Langshott Manor higher. Central booking were efficient and helpful and the hotel looks super on the web site. We were really looking forward to spending our wedding anniversary there. You drive into the grounds and the hotel looks like something from a fairy tale. Reception staff were polite and took us to our room “Sissinghurst” they call it a suite but actually it’s a large room, it’s ok, lots of hotels are calling their rooms suites it seems. This room is dominated by a huge inglenook fireplace that really need a couple of subdued lights fitted within. Now this room and bathroom would have beer fantastic when first decorated and equipped, now sadly it has suffered somewhat with clumsy people over the years. The carpet needs replacing or at least a good steam clean. Two light bulbs out, a broken drawer handle, plenty of weeds and no flowers in the courtyard / garden area, l could go on but don’t want to make it sound worse than it was. We also pre booked afternoon tea, sadly this also could have been better. Scones like rocks and rather dried out sandwiches, (l note this comment in other reviews so why is it still happening l wonder) kind of ok is the best that can be said. It was made worse as the couple on the next table had their anniversary acknowledged with a nice plate of fruit and chocolates while we didn’t despite it being mentioned more than once during booking. Only a minor thing but the disappointment on my wife’s face spoke volumes. These things matter to women it seems. The general manager did acknowledge the short comings and l said we would always listen to what he has to say if he thinks there is a case here but nothing forthcoming. Unfortunate as we would love to have made Langshott a place for regular visits. So, in summery, ok but could be so much better with not too much effort. TR.

We booked our afternoon tea for 2pm, we arrived on time and we’re greeted warmly and seated immediately being told someone would bring our champagne shortly. This is then where the service went downhill drastically. We waited 30 mins until someone came over to ask us if we wanted tea or coffee, no champagne still. Hot drinks arrived, no food or champagne still. Champagne arrived finally 45 mins and were told food would be coming shortly.Well to cut a long story short, we waited 2 hours until our food arrived!!! people who had sat down after us had been served 45 mins before us, the table next to us had arrived at 2pm and were also forgotten! When we asked we were told they were short staffed, no apologies or explanation, we were just left to wait….service was bad.At 3.30 a new member of staff arrived at our tables asking for our name to check his list, he couldn’t find it until we said we were a 2pm booking, he looked shocked but didn’t say anything! He eventually bought our food 30 mins later with no apologies for delay, no explanation on food, just plonked it on table and left!!!!!We understand staffing issues in kitchen can cause delays but the unapologetic and disorganised service was inexcusable. Front of house is so important when things go wrong behind the scenes.Beautiful place and food was good [when it did arrive]but would not return. Really disappointed.
