A lovely place to eat. Service was great and staff so helpful. The food was outstanding and I would recommend the nachos and the burgers. It was a very warm and cosy pub recommend to go.

Great local pub! And the food was a solid 10.Was a little packed/loud because of the football but we still had a good time, and I got to watch part of the game haha.Definitely recommend!

Great burgers but lacking massively in the drinks department. I wanted a bloody Mary, but they had no Worcestershire sauce ! and then I asked for a bottle of champagne and they didn't have of that either but said I could have the one that was in the chiller being a different brand for £15 more and it wasn't even on the wine list. They should have honoured this bottle at the list price but wouldn't.

Ridiculously expensive in here. Band that played on the first Saturday of December really good. Mini fight broke out, so it was an eventful evening
First time at the penny black amazing atmosphere beautiful looking pub and such wonderful service from the manager Anthony and the rest of the staff will definitely return and recommend the penny black to our friends the food was excellentVegetarian options: I had the flat bread and hummus the presentation was lovely

Nice pub with good service and surprisingly good food.Quite a few people were watching football and the sound was a bit too loud, but it didn't bother us.Outside area looked nice too.There is no parking, but there is a car park down the road.
