Staff were wonderful, they look after you very well, you can have a laugh and joke with them, food was amazing and delicious, cosy place for a beer and a chat ??

Becoming a good pub once again. Seems to started serving Harvey's seasonal beers again. But the vast Kitchen is still not operating. This pub used to the best place for food for miles years ago.

I have recently taken the lease on the Garland (7days) and soon realised that it was in dire need of some serious TLC The previous company and their string of "revolving door managers" have now gone and I am using my 50 year experience in the trade to turn it around, it is now clean and the staff now smile a new kitchen is being installed in the next 2 weeks to serve good value for money food, please give us another try I sure you wont be disappointed David Stanley

Full of loud mouthed drunks dark and dingy. You need to get rid of these people or the Garlend will be come another sad pub

Atrocious customer service, didn’t seem like they wanted us there. Not willing to help or eager to take my order. Rude bar man.

We came into this pub today to get a lemonade whilst I wait for my MOT… Well that was the idea.As soon as we got in this pub the atmosphere was cold, the bloke serving took one bad look at us turned his back (even after we smiled hello). The first thing he said to us was the fact he wanted ID or we get nothing. I replied with asking for just two soft drinks and he told us no. Avoid this place at all costs as it’s very hostile, inhospitable and awkward.

I have been in the Garland pub a few times lately and had a nice experience, lovely friendly staff good clean pub, good choice of beers. However last night I popped in to watch football with my partner, most of the beers were not available, very short on spirits, lady behind bar did her best to serve what they had and be as polite and friendly as she normally is.My girlfriend went to the ladies and it was filthy, a dirty sanitary towel still on the floor from last week, toilet she said she did not want to sit on as so dirty.I went to the gents and the same the smell was awful and there was pubic hair and urine stains everywhere. There was a man at the end of the bar which I assume was landlord looking a little worse for wear, then another man appeared and was swearing and ranting about something, bar staff looked awkward.Be fair to say we will not be returning, such a shame as it was a good place to go for a friendly drink with good atmosphere, that all seems to have gone

The Garland is great for watching sports (x2 TVs), playing darts and bar billiards. Outdoor seating with heaters. Reasonably priced beer. Fantastic bar staff highly recommended pub. Summer garden.

Was my local up to recently, gone from good clean pub, great atmosphere, regular bands great staff, now new landlord, it is filthy, no atmosphere, no bands the last couple of weeks even though advertised, some staff seem to gone, real shame, all of Ron and Jane's hard work wasted, do not recommend

Landlord shouting racist comments at the the TV while Liverpool played. He received a Chinese takeaway and mimicked a 1970s Chinese accent to talk time delivery driver. When I pulled him up on it, he said ' it's my pub, I can do what I want!' I also mentioned he and his barman with the Chuckle brother moustache had drunk more behind the bar than I had, he shrugged and told me to Eff Off. Shame, was a great pub under the previous landlord.

A proper pub! Decent selection of beers and friendly and polite bar staff.

Up until recently, we had a lovely manager and his wife, Ron and Jane, who were friendly, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Just the sort of people that are a credit to your company. Regrettably, they are no longer with us and have been replaced by a new manager and, I'm told, an assistant manager. I do not know the new manager's name as he has made no effort to introduce himself. There has been a noticeable drop in hygiene standards, both in the ladies toilets and the bar. Unfortunately, I also have to question how the new manager can wear slippers behind the bar and wear the same shirt from the day he took over. I'm concerned for our pub's future under the new management.

Lovely property pub. Clean and tidy. Lots of selection of drinks, but I really really do recommend the Guinness. Best I have had in ages, but as the Landlord said " if a bloke from Dublin can't pull a decent pint of Guinness who can." Do yourself a favour and visit this pub. Have a game of bar billiards.
