The starter we had, the prawn salad, was excellent—a delightful mix of prawn and crayfish that I particularly enjoyed. Following that, we all had the fish and chips, which were absolutely out of this world. I don't often leave reviews, but this experience was so remarkable that I felt to let the owners and their staff know, well done. The establishment was an old, higgledy-piggledy, dilapidated English pub, which I very much liked, and I generally am not fond of change. However, now some years later I have to admit, that the very changes were necessary and it still has the beautiful atmosphere that it had 17 years ago, when I first visited. This is a genuine review, and I am in no way related to the owners, staff, or clientele. My house in Bletchingley is not too far away from their location.I am happy to recommend for anyone to have lunch or evening dinner at The Red Lion in Bletchingley.Kind regards,GBFM Schrijver

Haven't been for a while as we have moved house ... but it still has a good ambience, food was pretty good ? although the pastry on my pie was quite hard to cut into I still enjoyed ? we just wanted to mention that the lady with blonde hair didn't seem particularly friendly whenever she came over to our table.

I go here once or twice a year it's always very nice freshly cooked food, friendly, attentive staff and a nice atmosphere.Parking: Fair amount of parking but there is also space alongside the pub on a private road.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from car park for a wheelchair no ramps or steps but I'm not sure if there is a disabled toilet.

Don't be fooled by three Green King signs outside this pub, if you have any Green King vouchers. They won't accept them because "although the pub is owned by Green King it's independently managed".
