The food and service was good, but the prices are definitely on the high side.

I was traveling for business to the area and wanted to have something special. The George steakhouse definitely hit all the boxes for me. The staff were really friendly, knowledgable and quick. The food was amazing, the best steak that I had ever tried in my life - so flavourful, tender, aromatic, the right portion size and for a reasonable price.I can't recommend it enough!Thank you every so much, and I'll be definitely coming back, while in the area!!Parking: Nice parking on site

Absolutely delicious. Came down after Christmas for a family gathering and will definitely return. The starters were amazing, the steak juicy, tender and perfectly cooked, the accompaniments were really tasty and the desserts really helped finish the meal. Would definitely recommend. Can’t wait to

Great vibe and staff however the food is not the best. Some foods like the steaks are good but the rest are not that tasty. Also the network coverage is pretty awful so calls and using data are problematic. Thus payments by card or e wallets can have issues to go through.

On a rainy sunday afternoon, driving around and I decided I wanted a roast, we were in the area and popped in.The waitress gave us a table which had plenty of room for our baby carrier, nice table in the corner of the restaurant. Before ordering food, I needed to change my baby nappy, i asked where the baby changing facilities were, the young lady took me to it, just as well she did, it was a bit of trek and meant going though a number doors. The food, my roast was perfect, I finished everything on my plate and even my husbands. The waitresses were so lovely and very attentive, service here was great. This was our first meal out as a family, it was so lovely, thanks to all the staff for making it a lovely dinning experience.

It’s always a pleasure to dine at The George. The ambiance is warm and friendly. Staff at The George are always warm, friendly and genuine. My last visit, we were looked after by Chloe and Rafa. Both are friendly and professional. Rafa is very attentive and aware of guests needs. He has a great sense of humour and attentive to guest needs. The food is of good quality and always consistent. Very good menu choice and would suggest reintroducing the Cheese Plate. Thank you to Rafa and the team⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I came for a nice meal to treat my partner for her birthday, and was served by Rafaelo so called manager. I specifically ordered soup of the day, and ordered 10 oz Rump steak, because I was asking the server to describe the size of the steak and I even pointed it out on the menu to ensure I get the right order and then I was asked how do I want to have it cooked, and I said medium rare. First of all, while I was still eating my soup I had received my second dish which was the steak. I see this exceptionally unprofessional as my steak and fries became cold, my steak was also barely medium rare more like rare. Then I was asked to pay for the bill which I checked the receipt and it said I was charged for Fillet steak £38 instead of £22. I asked for a explanation, and then he said that I ordered fillet instead of Rump, I tried to explain that no I did indeed ordered Rump, but he was not willing to put the charge off the receipt, I did not know that I was served Fillet not Rump steak. If I wanted to order different steak I would have. The manager was putting pressure, and he would not allow me to pay for what I ordered! The server was totally not in place, I as a customer was only demanding to pay for what I ordered. I had to pay for it, otherwise he would not let us go away. Plus, the lighting was going on and off, so the total atmosphere made it unpleasant and I can assure the owner of the steakhouse, that we will not be coming back!

Our meal for four was somewhat disappointing overall. The soup (leek and potato) was thin and didn't have much taste (I assumed it was watered down) and the so called 'sourdough' bread was square, thin and in no way an artesian bread. The prawn cocktail my wife had was lovely though. My main (prawn linguine) was tasty but was a small portion. My wife received the wrong burger option but decided to stay with it so we and our guests could all eat together. The staff were very good. Professional, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The prices are a little high and the quality of the food does not match the prices. So, overall not as good as I had hoped. I wouldn't recommend and sadly, I am unlikely to return.
