The prices have rocketed, yet the food and service has declined. We ordered food on 25/12 as the website was accepting orders and gave us a 35 minute window to collect. When we turned up, the establishment was closed! Why? Other restaurants were able to be honest with their customers online and say they were closed.. Shabby - wouldn’t recommend and won’t return :(

First visit to the Shahin where we had delicious food and excellent service. We tried the Lamb Sultan, Duck Shashlick and King Prawn Dhansak, with pilau rice, aloo gobi and peshwari naan. Everything was great. The dhansak was one of the tastiest I have had. The naans were light and crispy. Service was great.

Food bland . Lacked spice. Expensive for what was served.

We came last night for dinner and everything was excellent! The food was delicious and really well cooked. The mixed starters and the tandoori monkfish were particular highlights! The service was also brilliant and the staff are all lovely and extremely helpful and happy. Will definitely be back!

We were very pleasantly surprised by our trip to The Shahin. We ordered a range of meat, veggie and prawn curries and all of them were excellent quality. Generous portions and attentive service. On a Saturday night the place was 3/4 full and had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely return.

I had been meaning to write a review for the Shahin for a while now. Me and my family have been ordering our Indian food here for over 15 years and we have never had a bad meal! I have also been in the restaurant numerous times and the service is great as well as the interior of the restaurant itself. My personal favourites are the chicken passanda, which is like a more advanced korma if you are looking for something with a bit more flavour, saag aloo which is always up to standard and tastes delicious and the tarka daal is also a lovely side dish to order if you are a picky eater. I definitely wouldn’t have a love for Indian food as much if it wasn’t for this restaurant! ❤️

Sunday takeaway. Tandoori chicken at 10.50 you would expect half a chicken. A leg and a breast. I received the back of a chicken carcass. It tasted earthy and gritty. Very disappointing and will not be getting another takeaway from here again. It's nowhere as good as the food you get when eating in the restaurant itself.

We visited The Shahin on a Tuesday night, which is banquet night. It was 5 courses for £23.50. The staff were so polite, helpful and welcoming. Also being a vegetarian there was lots for me to choose from. The food was so tasty, plentiful and a delight to the eye. I would definitely visit again and highly recommended the Shanin magic starter.

We always go early doors so the restaurant was empty , they put us in an alcove to the left with another table , then six people came in and they put them in there also , ( the rest of the place was empty ) so it was quite noisy and we could hear their conversations ,…. On to the food , it was ok just , I asked for a chicken Massala which come with lamb keema and egg also, the keema was missing and was full of onion , I’ve had this dish many times and it was not as normal , my friend had rogan Josh also not up to standard , I love this place and I’m disappointed that it’s gone downhill , the food used to be excellent , come in Shahin get your act together

Went for banquet night and they tried charging for all items individually which resulted in the bill being much higher than it should be. Took a while to sort out. Food has also gone massively downhill with portion sizes almost a joke on some dishes. Chicken tikka starter is 3 small lumps of chicken for example. Poppadum sauces are charged per person too no matter how many of you there are. (10 people £10 and 7 people £7 even though the same quantity is served for all group sizes.) I would avoid until it goes back to its old ways.
