Quiet gentle background music. Goid food. Not too pricey. Charming landlady.

You can see from the photos what kind of pub this is - a proper one.We came for lunch and everything was delightful; from the host to the food, the condition of the ale and the fact that whomever it is that is hell bent on turning every pub in Surrey into some kind of sterile facsimile of a hotel bar has not had a go at this one.I don't live in Hersham but it's now on the list of places to revisit on every home visit alongside The Withies Inn, The Masons Arms, The Park Tavern, The Roebuck (Hampton) The Eagle Ale House and the Willoughby.

A traditional English village pub. A favourite with the locals and infamous for its Sunday roast.

First Sunday roast at a pub for years and the Bricklayers Arms didn’t disappoint. Good value for a traditional Sunday Roast.

The Regent is a wonderful place, and I recently had the pleasure of visiting there. This bar, which is located on Church Street, is a favourite hangout for both locals and tourists because of its welcoming environment, delectable food, and wide range of drinks. As soon as I walked into The Regent, I was greeted by welcoming staff who immediately put me at ease. The pub's exposed brick walls, wooden beams and cosy seating spaces gave it a homely, classic British character. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it the ideal place for a supper with friends or a night out.
