8.30am went for breakfast dishwasher was broken so only only paper plate and wooden fork to eat with had to use hands to eat no knife to cut food or toast sausage and bacon overcooked seats ripped to hell £19 for 2 breakfast and 2 coffee very poor. One member of staff for everything. Bloody joke. Saturday morning won't be coming back

Update for March 2024:They have changed the entrance and security. It now appears the security in the evenings enjoy shouting at people and pulling aside innocents without providing recourse to, for example, showing receipts of proof of purchase. (I would add though the manager of security WAS helpful and reviewed the issue).I simply cannot recommend anyone coming by in the evening now unless you wish to be accosted, loudly, and publicly. You're clearly guilty if they do half a job. There also isn't an easy complaints process to handle matters like this, so the best we can do is to write letters and post publicly.Original review:Very good asda store, with practically any standard item you could want. They stock all typical groceries, have a good selection of less common goods, and also have areas for computer games, electronics, parties, and household goods.Upstairs contains a large clothes department which is regularly restocked. There is a changing room available, though this closes around 8pm.There is a pharmacy and opticians also available in store, with their own specific opening and closing times. Finally, there is a photo and key cutting area near the entrance, along with a basic restaurant. The store is well looked after, has up to date checkouts, including lots of self checkout- both handbasket size and trolley size.Staff are very helpful - so don't feel afraid to ask anyone anything! The only bad things really are the toilets aren't often clean, and not many staff manage the self service, so when a problem occurs, which it nearly always does, you can be left waiting awhile. The restaurant feels outdated and not very clean either.

I was in Asda cafe at the metro centre yesterday Sunday 28th January 2024 at approx 2pm. The tables were filthy and as we had already ordered food I cleaned a one myself the cutlery was dirty also and when the food came it was tasteless and very disappointing. On my way out I visited the toilets which gave now been closed for days due to a flood. The disabled one remained open and was disgusting no dry toilet roll they were all soaking wet. The actual toilet was so dirty I left without using it. I was disgusted in the state of both the cafe and the toilets which definitely did not meet hygiene standards.

They’ve spent money on a brand new all signing all dancing pizza counter and then can’t even stock it adequately enough to supply pizzas, I’ve not yet been able to order a pizza with the toppings I want the amount of stuff out of stock is ridiculous, I couldn’t even buy a large thin crust today as the base is out of stock, something needs to change in this store it’s shocking!!!!

This Asda superstore has a section with clothing in addition to the supermarket element. It is a decent place to do a supermarket shopping trip

You can get pretty much anything you could need here. However, the car park is often awful to get in and out of! Petrol and diesel are available at low prices too. More expensive than similar budget stores, but far more choice for you.

The new pizza counter is horrendous, constantly out of stock on most items. The store has less variety of products every time you go and prices always going up

Only been in this store a few times as I'm not local but it seems ok enough and is pretty massive.

Too big a store for me. Free parking and very competitive self service fuel prices. Promoting a lot of Christmas special offers at present.

Great lady at pizza counter .. she's an older women but deserves a pat on the back. So helpful, cheerful and I'm sure works very hard. She stands out.
