Had a couple of great takeaways from here a couple of years ago. Last one we had was disgusting about a year ago. Have tried a couple of times to give it another chance recently. Couldn't get through on the phone the first time. Second time I tried I eventually got through but got fobbed off. Said they were busy on the other line. Won't bother again. Can someone please open a decent Thai takeaway in Gateshead/Chester Le Street area

I was told about this place few month back,, I now go every Saturday for my once a week takeaway,, recommended to loads of people and can't fault anything about it. Brilliant staff aswell.

Had our first experience of this takeaway on Sunday evening. Food was really good! Everything was nicely packaged and prepared and tasted great. Could see chef's preparing orders and polite friendly staff to deal with. Will definitely be back! Thank youVegetarian options: Tofu and veg options on most dishes

Food is amazing! My new takeaway, in fact the only decent takeaway round here! Salt and pepper prawns, chicken pad gra pao and Phuket prawns were so good.

Couldn’t fault a thing about our takeaway. Was ready to collect 20 minutes after ordering, customer service was great, and the food was unreal. This was most of my family’s first experience with proper Thai dishes and they absolutely loved it.

Ordered from here for the first time tonight and were really impressed! Service was super friendly, ordered the pad kra pao and pad thai and loved both of them! Will definitely not be our last, it's refreshing to have a change to all the pizzas and kebabs!

Doesn't even deserve 1 star! The jungle curry had no flavour at all, where was the spice? It was more like dish water! The prawn starter was nothing like it was described, was meant to come with a bed of salad, but did not and the ribs were disgusting, they tasted like cheap frozen shop brought. Avoid at all costs. £32 down, we would of been better off eating the slops from the bottom of our sink.

This was my favourite takeaway but this is my last visit, jungle curry was like water with no spice, hardly any veg and the I’ve had better ribs from a supermarket freezer.
Had a takeaway from mai’s Thai takeaway. Was amazing. Picked it up from shop and it’s was still hot when we got home. I live in near Newcastle. I’ve recommended to my friend and she has been there tonight 21st January 2023 and she text me to say it was amazing like I told her she lives in Hebburn and still hot when got it home. I would highly recommend this takeaway

I can honestly say that the meal we had delivered on Saturday evening is the worst that we have had for years. The starter and main meal were bland watery and tasteless. We certainly will never use Mai Thai again. A total wast of £38 most of it went in the bin. They should be ashamed to send such rubbish out. X Aileen Maughan

Really disappointed with them, had a takeaway which was ordered at 7pm and we received it at 945, when chased up the guy on the phone basically said tough and you shouldn’t order on a sat night cause it’ll be too busy , after it’s been took over it’s gone down hill , dishes were watery such a shame

What has happened to this once great takeaway!?For years we have been ordering almost every weekend - this green curry & sticky rice & it was the best you could get in the north east. Recently something has changed. Not sure if chef, owner? The last 3 times we ordered 1 just didn’t show up. One was 2 hours late & one was an hour early??♂️ All three tasted terrible. We thought this weekend we would give them one more chance & it was shocking - sauce was like water with zero flavour of a Thai green curry. We won’t be ordering again. What a shame.

Most horrible takeaway food I've ever received. We had a bite each and the rest went in the bin. Thai staples made with a complete lack of care. Sides such as ribs undercooked in a dangerous way. Such poor quality of food and of customer service. Spend your money anywhere else. Disgusting.
