Fancied a haddock, but they had none - even though it was on the menu. Drove 15 minutes because of good reviews. (I should have rang in advance).Beef dripping smell, as I went in: so the extractor needs cleaning or is not operating as it should.

We tried The Silver Grid for the first time today, after just moving into the area. Really gorgeous fish and chips, and such a generous portion! The fish is cooked to order and has a beautiful flavour, the batter is light and crispy. Chips are perfect and plenty of them too! Our new favourite takeaway and would definitely recommend.
