I have used Miah not less than 15 times. The food is always good. The delivery (or even collection) is variable but usually significantly late. DO NOT ORDER FROM MIAH IF YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR FOOD DELIVERED IN LESS THAN 2.5 HOURS.

The food is outstanding and very fresh and tasty. The surroundings are intimate and cosy. The service was excellent. A wide choice of dishes and you can bring your own alcohol. Recommend the Chicken Ceylon and house special pilau rice and garlic naan.

Went here for an evening meal and was not disappointed, upon arrival we were greeted at the front desk and given menu's to look at. I asked one of the waiters to recommend something along the lines of the Rogan I always get. He pointed out a couple of dishes of which the one I got was excellent and just the tastes I like. Starters were plentyfull and very tasty. There is no alcohol here but you just take your own and help yourself. Would definitely go again, very tasty and good value also

Great little gem. Visited this place while in Newcastle and what an amazing find, great food and great service.. they really went above and beyond for me and my wife. I Loved the Satkora Lamb, it really reminded me of home cooked food. I would definitely recommend. Thank you Miah Restaurant ?

I have been here several times over the years and returned again to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. As always the staff were outstanding and professional. We were able to drop off the birthday cake and they allowed us to decorate the table with celebratory decorations to mark the special event. All nine of us had a very pleasant evening and the food was exceptional as always. It was all hot and delicious as we expected. They even went the extra mile to accommodate my daughter's "weird" request of a curried egg. The staff were attentive but never over-bearing. All in all an excellent evening and enjoyed by all. Thank you to the staff for making my daughters evening a special one.

This is a review for a take away. It came highly recommended and when we tried it the first time I was convinced I'd found my new favourite Indian Take Away. The food was superb. Second time was good, but here seemed to be an additional flavour to my Madras. . it was very minty. Not quite right. Last saturday we ordered and collected. Flavours we as good as can be, but we both had chicken and it was awful. Chewy, just awful. I had a piece I couldn't even cut with a knife. Surely a chef can see just be looking whether bits of meat look decent, and not to use it if it's not the best quality. My Galic Keema nan had no garlic and very little Keema, however the Keema rice was again, the best rice I've ever had. So. . . let down by poor quality chicken. I'll go again, probably but if it isn't perfect in every way, like the first one, I'll be going elsewhere from then on. OH - Price. Seems to be a little dearer than most other Indian take aways. I'd be happy with that if the food was like it was the first time, but last chance next time.

Went for a meal with friends. I struggle with some spicy foods, however, this was no problem at Miah and the staff were happy to make me a really mild dish, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend!

Received a phonecall at 2130 to tell me it had not even been cooked yet. Then to be told I would receive a refund within 21 days. Incredibly poor. Avoid at all costs, good food is no use unless you can eat it. This is not the first time I have had problems with delivery times from this resteraunt.

Had meal delivered on Friday 17 February. Food was delicious but heavy items on top of lamb Madras had caused sauce to leak all over the rest of the bag, big clean up job before serving

Absolutely fabulous takeaway food provided by Miah yesterday for a small family evening meal. All six mains were wonderful ( 3 chicken, 2 veggie,1 lamb) accompanied by the freshest of popadoms, lovely assorted rice sides and 2 gorgeous nans. I cannot praise this food enough! Thank you Miah. We all really enjoyed your wonderful food.( I have dined in Miah with a friend recently. Equally fabulous food)Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetation options available. Some deliciously usual to the norm.
