Really great food and drink! Jade who served me was really friendly and I felt so bad for her because she was by herself and she went above and beyond for me and my friends. The coffee was lovely, as was the cake.

This place is amazing all because of a worker by the name of Jade she was caring and helpful.It was really busy and she was working alone with the manager sitting down and sorted every customer with a smile and efficiently a massive thank you to her even with an extremely rude customer she delt with it with a smile. Thank you we will be back.

Big guy with glasses and tattoos served me with a terrible I don’t want to be here type attitude. Called someone a tot whilst going for a break either a customer or the other member of staff. Horrible bloke with a stinking attitude!

WOW! Can't thank the staff enough for what turned out to be an unforgettable finish at the great north run this year - flash floods, 60k plus people all trying to get out of SS and then the metro closed! The staff were over ran but remained polite and welcoming, cafe was crammed but they rose above the chaos and served promptly and efficiently - THANK YOU for providing hot coffee when we needed it :-)

Always love Nero's, grabbed a nice coffee and bite to eat waiting for a meeting, not too noisy, coffee was nice almond Croissant was tad squashed, and resembled something like a tasty ?, hence the point drop. But lovely place, coffee best in that street.

Stroppy, rude staff with bad attitude. My wife ordered drinks and then server proceeded to argue with wife about pupperchino and having to pay for this. Sorry but every other cafe Nero either gives these free or adds to cost to our drinks, which were covered by vouchers. When wife refused to pay the server threw the pupperchino in the bin instead of just offering it as it was made up already. We could then hear them chuntering away to themselves from the other side of the cafe. Very rude.
