I had an issue and they've sorted that out, served me double quick and set us up for the day with a nice breakfast. Special thanks to Adam who served me, and a lovely lady I believe her name is Lillian. Proper Christmas spirit and amazing service. Buzzing this is our local Greggs, thanks and merry Christmas!

The food is top quality with plenty of flavour and taste. The spiciness ranging from hot to mild, depending on your palette. I would definitely recommend visiting here if you come around Ocean Road in South Shields. I appreciate the hosting of the meeting of my sister and future brother-in-law. The restaurant and owner did a very good job providing a very welcoming and endearing environment we all enjoyed being within. Definitely wouldn't mind coming again for future events and meetings.

4 Burrow St, South ShieldsI don't usually leave reviews on a takeaway but I think everyone needs to hear about this hidden gem. Food arrived 40 mins before it was due and on good Friday. We were given free mini spring rolls and prawn crackers. The special fried rice was absolutely unreal. The soft noodles were perfect, not too greasy or salty as you sometimes find. The salt and pepper crispy beef was perfect. The honey chilli pork was really good, very crispy coating lovely sauce and not too much veg but the veg was crunchy and delicious. The mixed starter was great value and all items were lovely. Cannot fault this Chinese, very pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend.

50 Whitehouse Ln, North ShieldsWe have used this takeaway many times and the food is always of a high standard. Quick delivery and lovely staff. Favourites are House Special Curry, Beef Chow Mein and chilli and garlic ribs. Tried Singapore rice which is also lush.

There appears to be lots of staff walking back from service while not picking up plates or glasses. Eventually, there's a sweep, but I would have thought any member of staff should be able to pick something up and take it away.... is there a work to rule thing going on here. I generally don't complain about stuff, but this is rather obvious...

Food tasted good but deducted 1 star because some of the food on display was a bit discoloured/dried up. Although the staff were avoiding using it they could have just easily removed it from the display in the first place.Restaurant and toilets were nice and clean. Would eat here again.

Keep in mind, the chicken is rarely dry, so It shouldn't be too much of an issue for anyone else.Parking: It is free for around 90 minutes which should be sufficient. And also has 2 instavolt E-Vehicle charger baysKid-friendliness: This restaurant has child meals, as well as seats that are appropriate for children.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a button to automatically push the door open, as well as having a low+flat level ground, meaning that wheelchair users should have no issues with getting in and out of the business.

Ferry St, South ShieldsHaving not long moved back to the NE... what a find this has been for me. A gem of a real ale pub in a great location. It's right on the banks of The River Tyne, adjacent to the South Shields Ferry Landing and is a great vantage point for viewing river activity inc. those impressive Cruise liners that creep into the river to reach their berthing points.The quality of the beer is outstanding and the variety is one of the best ranges you will come across.A lovely warm welcome was had from the staff and an even warmer welcome from the log burner creating a great pub atmosphere especially on weekends.Prices are a little on the expensive side, but then you get what you pay for..!!!Parking: There are only two or three parking places adjacent to the pub. Then there's two disabled spaces closer to the river, but these are limited to an hour.Best place to park is in the carpark for The Word I think it's called. It's just up from the pub and charges apply.
