Food keeps getting more expensive, the quantity keeps getting smaller and the quality stays the same.... microwaved. Sad to think wetherspoons image is that.

breakfast was cold and they forgot to put a sausage on me plate. to be fair they took it away and cooked me a new one rather than microwave old one. not too much to ask that your food be hot!

Great place to go in comparison with other pubs on Wallsend High St....child friendly and reasonable prices. I would advise to buy double your drink order as sometimes service is slow on bar due to lack of staff, otherwise the staff are very good and friendly! ?... Breezed through after finishing work on Saturday evening... Was full with a nice friendly comfortable atmosphere...

Well what can you say about The Ritz... it's a Weatherspoons... if you've been to any then you know the format, however the Ritz has got a nice atmosphere to it and a separate little room that makes it feel quite exclusive, we always try to sit here when we go... We have tried most things on the menu and they are all acceptable, always hot and reasonably priced as are the drinks. The meal deals with a drink are always a fav with us. The staff are always happy to help at the Ritz and it is nearly always clean and tidy. Overall a nice place to eat any day of the week and it won't break the bank like many other do these days.... get yourself along and see for yourself... enjoy.

We quickly found a clean table. My friend ordered from an app to avoid queuing at the bar. He had steak and mash with a soft drink. I had a cheese and ham panini with coffee. The drink and coffee mug arrived quickly and the food not too long after. The steak and mash was acceptable according to my friend. The panini wasn’t exactly stuffed with very bland ham and cheese and the panini itself was leathery to chew. The coffee was self serve right at the far corner of the restaurant. I could see why there were unlimited refills After trying 2 different insipid mugfuls I couldn’t stomach any more. Wetherspoons used to be a really good value go-to place, but I’d rather now spend a little bit more elsewhere.

Love the place, has a good atmosphere and great ales at great prices !Parking: Big carpark at the back of the pub. However, be careful as you are only allowed a 2 hour stay. Stay beyond this and you will receive a fine.

This Spoons is one big room with plenty of tables, a couple of nooks and an outside area. Always pretty busy. This time we ordered a couple of bowls of chips with the kids, and I had a pint. Beer tastes good. Chips were hot. Can't complain.
